HAUNT ALLEY — HAUNT BOOTHS

Show us what your haunt can do.

Haunt Alley at Halfway To Halloween 2027 is dedicated to professional haunted attractions, home haunts, horror experiences, and members of the haunt community who want to get face-to-face with Halloween fans and show them exactly why they need to visit your haunt this fall.

Haunt Alley is located under our open pavilion, featuring approximately 16-foot ceilings and plenty of room to get creative.

And when we say creative, we mean it.

Build to your dark heart’s desire.

Create an elaborate photo op.

Build a miniature scene from your attraction.

Bring monsters, props, animatronics, characters, set pieces, lighting, signage, or scenery.

Create a killer display showcasing your haunt.

Or keep things simple and use your space to meet attendees, hand out information, promote your upcoming season, and tell people why your haunt needs to be on their October bucket list.

This does NOT have to look like a traditional vendor booth.

In fact, we'd rather it didn't.

Haunt Alley is your opportunity to give attendees a taste of your attraction before haunt season begins.

Make them stop.

Make them take pictures.

Make them ask questions.

Make them remember your name when October rolls around.

PROFESSIONAL & HOME HAUNTS WELCOME
Haunt Alley isn't just for large commercial attractions.

We proudly welcome professional haunts, home haunts, haunted trails, haunted houses, immersive horror experiences, charity haunts, yard displays, and other members of the haunt community.

If you haunt, Haunt Alley is where you belong.

BRING YOUR CHARACTERS!
We strongly encourage participating haunts to bring actors and recognizable characters from their attraction.

Interact with attendees, pose for photos, roam your booth area, hand out promotional materials, and give guests a preview of the personalities they'll encounter during haunt season.

MAKE THE SPACE YOURS
The open pavilion and high ceilings give participating haunts room to think beyond tables and banners.

Want to create a towering façade?

Build a creepy cabin?

Hang scenery?

Create an interactive photo opportunity?

Bring one of your signature monsters?

Construct something completely bizarre that makes people say, “What the hell is THAT?”

We want to see it.

All displays, structures, props, effects, electrical equipment, overhead elements, and interactive features remain subject to event and venue safety requirements and approval.

YOUR GOAL IS SIMPLE:
When someone walks out of Haunt Alley, they should know:

WHO YOU ARE.

WHERE YOUR HAUNT IS.

WHEN YOU OPEN.

And most importantly…

WHY THEY NEED TO COME SEE YOU THIS HAUNT SEASON.

HAUNT ALLEY
Where Michigan’s haunt community comes out to play.

Build big. Get weird. Get scary. Promote your haunt.

We’ll give you the space.

What you do with it is up to your dark little heart.

Collaborative Haunted House
Halfway To Halloween 2027
One haunted house. Multiple haunts. One massive collaboration.

The Collaborative Haunted House is one of the signature attractions of Halfway To Halloween, bringing together professional haunted attractions, home haunters, independent builders, actors, artists, and members of Michigan’s haunt community to create one unique walkthrough experience.

Instead of one company building the entire attraction, the haunt is divided into sections, with participating haunts bringing their own creativity, characters, scenery, scares, and style to the experience.

For 2027, we’re going back to summer camp…

Welcome to CAMPFIRE CARNAGE.

Think 1980s summer camp meets old-school slasher movie—cabins, counselors, campfires, dark woods, missing campers, urban legends, creatures, killers, and everything that can possibly go wrong during one unforgettable summer at camp.

Participating haunts will be encouraged to take the overall Campfire Carnage theme and make their section their own. Your area should fit somewhere within the world of an abandoned and seriously disturbed summer camp, but we want each haunt’s personality and creative style to show through.

Your section could become a bunkhouse, mess hall, shower house, infirmary, counselor cabin, maintenance shed, nature trail, arts & crafts cabin, ranger station, lake scene, campfire clearing—or something completely unexpected.

THIS IS A COLLABORATION, NOT A COMPETITION.
The goal of the Collaborative Haunted House has always been to bring the haunt community together.

Professional attraction or backyard haunt. Large crew or two people building something insane in their garage. Decades of experience or an emerging haunt looking for an opportunity to show people what you can do.

We want the haunt community represented.

This is an opportunity to build alongside other haunters, exchange ideas, meet fellow industry members, introduce thousands of Halloween fans to your attraction, and help create something none of us could build alone.

Participating haunts are encouraged to proudly represent and promote their own attraction while contributing to the overall experience.

WHAT PARTICIPATING HAUNTS SHOULD EXPECT
This is a hands-on collaborative build.

Participating haunts should be prepared to provide the people, creativity, props, scenery, costumes, actors, and other materials necessary for their assigned section unless other arrangements have been made with the Collaborative Haunt team.

There will be approximately six days available for the collaborative build leading into Halfway To Halloween.

Your section must be completely finished, safe, operational, and ready for walkthrough/testing before the attraction opens.

Participating groups should also plan to provide actors for their section whenever possible. Haunts that need additional acting support should communicate that with us early so we can coordinate available volunteer actors.

Because every section connects to the next, communication and cooperation between participating haunts is extremely important.

PROMOTE YOUR HAUNT
We don't want visitors wondering who created their favorite scene.

Participating attractions will have opportunities to represent their haunt and connect with attendees throughout Halfway To Halloween.

This is your chance to introduce people to your attraction before haunt season even begins.

Show them your characters.

Show them your craftsmanship.

Show them your scares.

Then give them a reason to come find you again in October.

HOME HAUNTS ARE WELCOME!
You do not have to operate a commercial haunted attraction to participate.

Some incredible haunt talent starts in garages, basements, yards, barns, and driveways.

If you're a home haunter who has always wondered what it would be like to build alongside established attractions, this is your invitation.

ACTORS, BUILDERS & CREATIVE PEOPLE
Don't operate your own haunt but still want to participate?

We also need:

Haunt actors • Scenic builders • Prop builders • Makeup artists • Costume creators • Lighting & sound people • Queue actors • Set decorators • General haunt volunteers

There is a place for people throughout the haunt community to get involved.

THE CHALLENGE
You have one section.

One theme.

A building full of other talented haunters.

And thousands of guests coming through it.

What are you going to build?

CAMPFIRE CARNAGE
Summer Camp. 1986.

The memories will last a lifetime.

Some campers never left.

What Is Halfway To Halloween?
Halfway To Halloween is a celebration of everything spooky, strange, creative, and wonderfully weird—held halfway between one Halloween and the next.

Taking place each May at the Washtenaw Farm Council Grounds in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Halfway To Halloween brings together the people who make the Halloween and haunted-attraction community so special. Professional haunted attractions, home haunters, artists, makers, performers, horror fans, hearse owners, food trucks, creators, and Halloween lovers all come together for one unforgettable weekend.

But Halfway To Halloween isn't simply a vendor show or horror convention. It's an experience.

Guests can shop a huge variety of hand-selected vendors, brave a collaborative haunted house built by multiple Michigan haunts, meet haunted attractions in Haunt Alley, watch live performances, grab something delicious from the food truck rally, explore interactive areas, see incredible hearses and spooky vehicles, meet characters roaming the grounds, participate in activities, and discover the creativity that goes into making things go bump in the night.

One of the things that makes Halfway To Halloween unique is its focus on collaboration rather than competition. Haunted attractions that would normally operate separately work side-by-side. Artists and makers share their creations. Performers bring their talents to the stage and grounds. Volunteers become part of the show. Industry professionals share what they know. Fans get the opportunity to meet the people behind the masks.

And every year, the theme changes, transforming the event into something new.

For 2027, we're going to summer camp.

Welcome to Camp Dibik, our twisted take on the summer camps you remember—or perhaps the one your parents warned you about. Cabins, counselors, campfires, activities and plenty of things lurking where they probably shouldn't be will take over Halfway To Halloween for the weekend.

Whether Halloween is your favorite holiday, you work in the haunted-attraction industry, you're looking for unusual art and handmade goods, or you simply want to spend a weekend surrounded by people who understand why October should last all year, there's a place for you here.

Halfway To Halloween was built around three things:

Community. Creativity. Creepy Good Times.

You don't have to wait until October to come home to Halloween.

We'll see you halfway there.
