About the event
The Little River Chamber of Commerce, along with a dedicated group of local leaders, is proud to introduce the Little River Patriot’s Day Festival—a special event honoring our military heroes, first responders, and community service members. This Annual event will feature: • The establishment of a permanent memorial at Vereen Memorial Gardens, commemorating those who Patriots who have served and sacrificed for our country and community. • Annual Scholarship opportunities for local high school juniors and seniors, promoting education in art, literature, and public speaking. • A boat parade, live entertainment, food, refreshments and community engagement activities that celebrate our shared history and values. • The construction and dedication of “The 911 Memorial Reef” providing an environmental and sporting benefit to our coastal waters.

The Little River Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with local community leaders, proudly presents the inaugural Little River Patriot’s Day Festival—a heartfelt celebration honoring our military heroes, first responders, and dedicated public servants.

 

The day will begin with a patriotic parade along Mineola Avenue, bringing the community together in a spirit of gratitude, pride, and remembrance.

Volunteers are needed in all areas of the festival including Gate Workers, Souvenir Sales, and Soft Drink and Water Sales. All Volunteers will receive a FREE Limited Edition “Volunteer” T-Shirt featuring this year’s festival logo on a unique T-Shirt color that is Not Available for Sale. Volunteers also receive FREE admission and lunch each day that they are scheduled to work a shift. Beer Volunteers are responsible for checking IDs and distributing 21+ Wristbands. Soda Volunteers are responsible for soda and water sales. Our mission is to establish and sustain an annual event that honors the innocent victims of 9/11, past, present, and future patriots, and the brave individuals who have dedicated themselves to preserving our freedoms. Volunteers are needed in all areas of the festival, Souvenir and Auction volunteers will work under the direction of Chamber staff. Volunteers for souvenirs and the auction will be responsible for cash and credit card transactions. All Volunteers will receive a FREE Limited Edition “Volunteer” T-Shirt featuring this year’s festival logo on a unique T-Shirt color that is Not Available for Sale. Volunteers also receive FREE admission and lunch each day that they are scheduled to work a shift.
