This year, we’re going old school! The Oxford Hometown Christmas Parade is bringing back the charm of homemade floats, handmade decorations, twinkling lights, and the Christmas traditions that bring us together.
We invite businesses, churches, schools, and community groups to gather their crews and show us what “A Hometown Christmas” means to them. Build a float inspired by Christmases past, decorate a vehicle, or join us as a marching group or musical ensemble.
Bring your creativity, share your holiday spirit with families lining downtown Oxford’s streets, and help create memories that will last long after the parade!
Discover a sweeter side of A Hometown Christmas! Our Gingerbread House Contest invites children, families, adults, and community groups to turn gingerbread, icing, and candy into imaginative holiday creations.
Build a cozy Christmas cottage, recreate a favorite Oxford landmark, or bring a treasured family tradition to life. Whether you enter or simply come to admire the displays, there’s plenty of creativity and Christmas cheer to enjoy.
Guests can vote for their favorite entry for the People’s Choice Award from noon to 3 PM. Join us at 3:30 PM as we announce the results and celebrate the winners!
Let your pet strut their holiday style in Oxford’s Santa Paws Fashion Show, part of A Hometown Christmas! We invite pet owners to register their furry friends for a festive showcase of Christmas costumes, cozy sweaters and creative holiday outfits. Matching pet-and-owner looks are welcome!
Use this application to tell us about your pet and their outfit. Pets must be comfortable around people and other animals, remain leashed or safely contained, and be supervised by their owner throughout the event. Choose an outfit that allows your pet to move comfortably—and get ready to spread some Christmas cheer!
Be part of Oxford’s A Hometown Christmas! Bring your gifts, handcrafted goods, and specialty products to the Christmas Market at the Oxford Armory grounds.
Eight market huts are available during each rental period. Apply for one date or several throughout the season, November 28–December 20, 2026.
Here’s how to participate:
Gather your tree team! Participate as a business, church, nonprofit, community group or family.
Choose a cause close to your heart. Pick the charity you’d like your tree to support.
Sign up to join the display. Share your group’s name and chosen charity with the event organizers.
Bring on the Christmas magic! Provide a 6½-foot tree and decorate it in a theme of your choice. Go traditional, tell a story or get wonderfully creative!
Connect your tree to your cause. Provide your charity’s donation link so a QR code can direct visitors to give in honor of A Hometown Christmas.
Invite everyone to stop by! Encourage friends, customers and neighbors to visit the display at the Oxford Christmas Market on the Armory grounds, admire the trees and support the causes.
One tree. A little creativity. A whole lot of giving!
Sign up your business for the Hometown Christmas Holiday Window Decorating Contest and receive a printed QR code for voting.
