Description
Explore a painterly approach to screen printing in this unique Masterclass with Cat Prose. In this course, master printmaker Cat Prose will discuss a brief history of screen printing, introduce non-toxic materials, demonstrate a screen monotype process and explore each student’s themes. Artists should bring a variety of acrylic brushes, towels and (5) 8x 10 sketches of themes being explored. All other supplies will be provided. Catherine Prose has her studio in Wichita Falls, Texas where she teaches printmaking and drawing at Midwestern State University. https://www.catprose.com/

Using student designed stencils made from cardboard and paper, design a small fabric composition. Push your design to the limit, incorporating paint, fabric and thread for a finished piece of art, ready to be framed and hung on the wall.
