By purchasing a ticket to, entering, or attending the Spokane Renaissance Faire 2026 (the “Event”), each attendee voluntarily agrees to the following Terms and Conditions. These terms are intended to help ensure a safe, orderly, family-friendly, and enjoyable event for all guests, participants, staff, volunteers, vendors, and performers.
1. Admission and Entry
Admission to the Event is subject to valid ticketing, event capacity, and compliance with all Event rules, venue requirements, and staff direction. The Spokane Entertainers Guild (“SEG”) reserves the right to refuse admission or remove any individual from the Event for unsafe, unlawful, disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate conduct, or for violation of these Terms and Conditions, without refund.
2. Event Schedule, Hours, and Programming
Event dates, hours, entertainment, attractions, vendors, scheduled appearances, demonstrations, and programming are subject to change without notice. SEG reserves the right to modify, delay, suspend, or cancel any portion of the Event due to weather, safety concerns, operational needs, venue restrictions, emergency conditions, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
3. Assumption of Risk
The Event is an active outdoor public gathering that may include uneven terrain, grass, gravel, weather exposure, loud sounds, crowds, live performances, demonstrations, themed props, animals where applicable, and general event-related activity. By attending, each guest acknowledges and voluntarily assumes all ordinary and inherent risks associated with attending a public outdoor festival and agrees to act with reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of others.
4. Health and Safety Compliance
All attendees must comply with posted signage, verbal instructions from Event staff, volunteers, parking attendants, security personnel, medical personnel, and venue representatives, as well as all applicable laws and venue policies. Guests may not engage in behavior that creates a hazard, obstructs operations, interferes with staff, or disrupts the guest experience.
Any person who appears to pose a danger to themselves or others, or who refuses to comply with safety instructions, may be denied entry or removed from the Event without refund.
5. Costumes, Props, and Peace Tying
Costumes and themed garb are welcome and encouraged, provided they remain appropriate for a family-friendly public event and do not create a safety risk, obstruction, or disturbance.
Any prop weapons or similar costume items brought to the Event are subject to inspection and peace tying at the gate at the discretion of Event staff. SEG reserves the right to prohibit, secure, inspect, remove, or deny entry to any item deemed unsafe, overly realistic, sharp, hazardous, disruptive, unlawful, or otherwise inconsistent with the Event’s standards.
Attendees may not brandish, swing, draw, aim, or use any prop item in a threatening, reckless, combative, or unsafe manner.
6. Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is prohibited and may result in immediate removal without refund and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement:
Fighting, threats, intimidation, harassment, or disorderly conduct
Running, roughhousing, climbing on structures, or entering restricted areas
Damage to venue property, booths, sets, props, décor, signage, or equipment
Possession or use of unlawful, dangerous, or prohibited items
Interference with performers, vendors, volunteers, staff, demonstrations, animals, or operations
Failure to follow parking, entry, safety, accessibility, or crowd-control instructions
Any conduct deemed by Event leadership to materially compromise safety, operations, or the family-friendly nature of the Event
7. Family-Friendly Environment
The Spokane Renaissance Faire is intended to be welcoming and suitable for general audiences and families. Guests are expected to conduct themselves accordingly. Attire, language, behavior, and interactions with others must remain appropriate for a public, community-oriented event environment.
8. Accessibility
The Event is intended to be ADA accessible, and SEG seeks to provide a welcoming environment for guests of varying mobility and accessibility needs. Attendees requiring accessible parking or accommodation should follow posted guidance and communicate with Event staff upon arrival so reasonable assistance can be provided within the scope of Event operations and venue capabilities.
9. Parking and Traffic Control
Attendees must comply with all parking instructions, traffic flow direction, lot assignments, signage, and parking attendant direction. Vehicles may only be parked in designated parking areas. SEG and the venue reserve the right to redirect vehicles, close lots, reassign parking, or restrict access as needed for safety and operational purposes.
SEG is not responsible for loss of, theft of, or damage to vehicles or their contents.
10. Personal Property
Attendees are solely responsible for their personal property, costumes, bags, purchases, valuables, mobility equipment, and belongings at all times. SEG, the venue, vendors, staff, and volunteers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
11. Purchases from Vendors
Purchases made from vendors, merchants, artisans, food providers, entertainers, or third parties at the Event are transactions between the attendee and the individual vendor or provider. SEG is not responsible for pricing, warranties, product quality, food sensitivities, custom orders, fulfillment, exchanges, refunds, or disputes arising from third-party sales unless otherwise expressly stated.
12. Food, Beverage, and Allergies
Food and beverage may be available from third-party vendors. Attendees are responsible for reviewing ingredient information, communicating allergies or dietary concerns, and using their own judgment regarding consumption. SEG does not guarantee allergen-free preparation environments and is not responsible for adverse reactions resulting from food or beverage purchased or consumed at the Event.
13. Animals
Only service animals, as recognized by applicable law, are permitted unless otherwise expressly authorized by the Event or venue. Pets and emotional support animals that do not qualify as service animals may be denied entry. Service animals must remain under control at all times and may be removed if they pose a safety issue or materially disrupt operations.
14. Photography, Video, and Promotional Use
By entering the Event, attendees understand and acknowledge that photography, audio recording, and video recording may occur in public areas of the Event. By attending, each guest grants SEG and its designees permission to capture and use their likeness, image, voice, and appearance in photographs, video, livestreams, recordings, and promotional materials for lawful Event, nonprofit, archival, marketing, and advertising purposes without compensation or further approval.
Guests who take personal photographs or videos may do so for private, noncommercial use so long as they do not disrupt performances, obstruct walkways, interfere with staff or participants, or violate any privacy, safety, or restricted-area rules.
15. Refunds, Transfers, and Event Cancellation
Except where required by law or expressly stated by SEG in writing, tickets, admissions, add-ons, donations, fees, and related purchases are nonrefundable. Event policies regarding transfers, rescheduling, rain conditions, cancellation, and partial programming changes shall be governed by the terms stated on the ticketing platform and by Event management determinations.
If the Event is modified, delayed, interrupted, or partially canceled due to weather, safety, venue issues, emergency response, or other causes beyond SEG’s control, refunds may not be issued unless expressly determined by SEG or required by law.
16. Compliance with Law
Attendees must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, venue regulations, fire and life safety requirements, and lawful instructions of emergency personnel and law enforcement.
17. Right to Remove or Deny Entry
SEG, Event management, security personnel, and authorized representatives reserve the right, in their sole reasonable discretion, to inspect items, restrict access, deny entry, or remove persons from the Event when necessary to protect guest safety, preserve orderly operations, safeguard property, or maintain the Event’s standards and mission.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, attendees agree that SEG, its officers, directors, volunteers, staff, contractors, sponsors, venue partners, and affiliated representatives shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from attendance at the Event. Attendance is at the attendee’s own risk, except to the extent liability cannot be waived or limited under applicable law.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
20. Agreement to Terms
By purchasing a ticket, entering the Event grounds, or participating in any Event activity, each attendee acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
