Anime Detour is Minnesota's largest and longest running anime convention. Presented by Anime Twin Cites, Inc, and established in 2004, we are a non-profit, 3-day cultural, educational, and entertainment convention, dedicated to the promotion of Japanese culture including anime and manga.

Parking instructions

There is an attached ramp to both the Hyatt Regency and the Millennium hotels. There will be a discounted rate at the Hyatt ramp for those STAYING at the hotel. Make sure to ask the hotel front desk for the discounted rate when you check into your room. In addition to the ramps attached to both the Hyatt Regency and Millennium, we have also secured parking at the nearby MCTC ramp. It will be $5 a day. If you are staying at a nearby hotel and will be parking overnight, make sure to talk to the parking attendant to pay for multiple days. You will be given a dash tag for your car to show you have paid. Our friends at Furry Migration have made this video to show how to easily get to the MCTC ramp and get back to the Hyatt:

The legal owner of a membership/badge/registration is the attendee listed on the registration. Only the legal owner of a membership (the attendee) may relinquish, transfer, or pick it up. As such, Anime Detour is required to collect the legally recorded name of the person who will own the membership. Providing false or otherwise fictitious names (i.e. non-legal names) on registrations can make it impossible for a badge to be issued.

Anime Detour Artist Alley Application will be open for ~2 weeks (August 18 - 31st, 2025). Please note that an application approval does not guarantee a space. Payment will only be processed upon acceptance.

Acceptance status will be released Nov/Dec 2025. These booths are intended for artists of original and branded products that relate to the culture of anime, art and Japanese/Korean/Chinese related.

Anime Detour's Artist Alley acceptance process: Since there are so many wonderful and amazing artist applications, our jury staff will always select more artists than what we can actually fit. We will first choose applications that we see fit our criteria of anime, art, original, style, manga, manhwa, etc. Then to ensure fairness, artists will be chosen at random from our pre-approved artist list. You will automatically be placed on the waiting list if not accepted. All applicants will receive an email regarding the status by mid November 2025. By applying to Anime Detour Artist Alley, you are accepting the terms and conditions and the attached contract.
