On-site parking by permit only. Free shuttle bus park-and-ride service to the Septemberfest grounds from nearby schools, including Schaumburg High School, James B. Conant High School, and Jane Addams Jr. High school.

55th SEPTEMBERFEST

Join us as we celebrate the Schaumburg Septemberfest Labor Day parade on Monday,
September 7, 2026. The one-mile and approximately two-hour parade kicks off promptly
at 10 a.m. and travels northbound on Summit Dr. towards the festival grounds. There is no parade theme to follow.  

 

Parade Application Deadlines:
Paid Applicants: July 1, 2026

Non-Paid Applicants: July 31, 2026

The Taste of Schaumburg is held the first two of the three days of the festival on Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6 and features a maximum of twenty-four (24) of the area's best restaurants. Not-for-profit organizations partner with restaurants and food vendors to sell food and beverages on Monday, September 7. Restaurants sponsoring not-for-profit organizations may also serve alcohol on Monday.

 

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Preferred Application Deadline*: Wednesday, June 10, 2026
*Applications submitted after the Preferred Application Deadline of June 10 and no later than July 1 will incur an additional $100 fee if the restaurant is accepted into the fest.

This aspect of Septemberfest dates back to the original intent of the festival's founders. The Taste of Schaumburg is held the first two of the three days of the festival; not-for-profit organizations partner with restaurants and food vendors to sell food and beverages on Monday, September 7, 2026. Participating restaurants sponsoring not-for-profit organizations may also serve alcohol on Monday.

 

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Interested organizations must submit an application by Monday, July 6, 2026.

 

REQUIRED MEETINGS
All meetings are held in the Lecture Hall at the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts (soon to be Al Larson Cultural Center), 201 Schaumburg Court, from 6-7 p.m.

 

Participating organizations are expected to attend the following four (4) meetings:

  • Initial Information Meeting: Monday, June 1, 2026
  • Second Informational Meeting & Application Deadline: Monday, July 6, 2025
  • Final Informational Meeting & Parking Pass Distribution: Monday, August 17, 2026
  • Critique Meeting: Monday, October 5, 2026

Patrons 21+ can relax and indulge in beverages from up to eight (8) local breweries and wineries, participate in fun activities, and enjoy entertainment next to the municipal pond from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and 11 am to 9 p.m. Monday.

Interested organizations must submit an application by July 1, 2026.

 

BOOTH INFORMATION:
Vendors will be offered a festival-provided (and installed) 10’ x 10’ tent and tables equaling approximately eight feet of frontage space. Vendors may opt to provide their own 10' x 10' tent. All tents shall be securely weighted at each corner to withstand rainy or windy conditions. A 40 lb. minimum weight (unless the tent manufacturer’s specifications state otherwise) shall be secured to each tent leg unless staked.

Thank you for your interest in Volunteering for the 2026 Schaumburg Septemberfest Event which will be held from Saturday, September 5 - Monday, September 7. Each volunteer will receive a volunteer T-shirt, parking pass, food tickets for their shift, have an opportunity to meet people from their community, and be invited to the Septemberfest Volunteer Appreciation Reception that will be held on Tuesday, September 29 from 6-8 pm. - There are multiple volunteer locations. - Shifts are 4 hours between the hours of 6 am and 11 pm. - Volunteers in the Parking Areas will greet Fest Attendees and assist parking permitted vehicles. - Information Booth Volunteers provide general fest details including: Musical acts, Map of the Fest, Crafter Locations and Taste Food Options. - Volunteers may select multiple shifts in multiple locations. Please note all volunteers must be 18 years of age. - Click on the registration Link: https://www.eventeny.com/events/volunteer/application/?id=13609 - Click on Start Registration on the left or bottom of the Welcome Page. For New User complete the registration form. - Once you register it will save your credentials in the login area - passwords must be 8 characters. - Complete the remaining questions and click on Save & Continue. - If you are participating on behalf of our Monday Non-Profit Groups, please include your group name in the application SHIFT SELECTION. - There are seven locations (Departments), checkboxes will appear to select. - Click on your Volunteer Location or Locations to select your shifts. - Please only select one location / shift per time to ensure we place you in the correct location. - Shifts indicate Day and Time for easy selection. - Please ensure that only the locations and shifts you would like to volunteer for are selected. - Click Submit to complete your application after choosing shifts. - A confirmation email will be sent upon selecting submit. - Your registration will show pending until we have reviewed it. - A confirmation email will be sent upon approval.
