For 45 years, the Georgetown Christmas Stroll has brought families, friends, and visitors together to celebrate the spirit of the Christmas in the heart of Historic Downtown Georgetown. This year, the Downtown Georgetown Association invites you to experience Hometown Christmas Stroll: A Season to Gather a warm and welcoming FREE family-friendly three-day celebration filled with twinkling lights, festive décor, holiday music, and timeless traditions. More than a holiday event, it's a place to slow down, connect, and create meaningful memories with the people who matter most and experience the hospitality and community spirit that makes Georgetown special.
With more than 72,000 attendees in 2025, Christmas Stroll has become one of Central Texas' most cherished holiday traditions. Enjoy the Christmas Parade, Santa's Village, holiday concerts, family activities, festive food and drinks, charming downtown storefronts, and over 200 artisan and boutique vendors. From dancing with the Grinch to gathering beneath the glow of the Square's holiday lights, every experience is designed to bring people together. Friday, December 4: Stroll Kickoff Celebration 4:00pm - 9:30pm
• Kickoff Celebration: Gather with family and friends as Historic Downtown Georgetown comes alive with the grand illumination of thousands of holiday lights, festive music, and the joyful spirit of the season. It's the perfect way to kick off your Christmas.
• Dancing with the Grinch & Concert: Dance, laugh, and capture festive photos with the Grinch before enjoying a local live music and evening concert that fills the Square with Christmas cheer.
• Christmas Marketplace & Food Courts: Discover over 200 artisan and boutique vendors offering handcrafted gifts, holiday décor, seasonal treats, and one-of-a-kind treasures while enjoying delicious eats from local food trucks.
• Stroll the Square: Explore beautifully decorated storefronts, festive dining, cozy cafés, and the warm hospitality that make Historic Downtown Georgetown a favorite holiday destination.
Saturday, December 5: A Day to Gather 10:00am - 9:30pm
• Christmas Parade: Everyone’s favorite! Watch colorful floats, festive performers, and local groups march through the streets in a swirl of holiday spirit. The parade starts at 10:00 a.m.
• Santa’s Village, Whoo Hair & Face Painting: Visit Santa for memorable family photos, enjoy whimsical Whoo Hair makeovers, and let little ones become part of the holiday fun with festive face painting.
• Holiday Shopping & Food Courts: Spend the day browsing more than 200 artisan vendors, exploring locally owned boutiques, enjoying delicious food trucks, dining at downtown restaurants, and treating yourself to seasonal favorites throughout the Square.
• Family Activities: Explore Kids Zone offering games, treats, and crafts for all ages. This special area is filled with games, interactive crafts, rock wall, obstacle course, designed to delight kids and families alike.
• Snow in the Park: Experience the excitement of real falling snow in the heart of Downtown Georgetown! Build lasting memories as children play, families gather, and everyone enjoys one of Christmas Stroll's favorite holiday traditions.
• Live Entertainment: Enjoy entertainment throughout the day on two unique stages! The Jingle Bell Stage features live music, including our Saturday night headlining band and dancing, while the Silver Bell Stage showcases talented local schools, dance studios, cheer teams, musicians, and community performances that celebrate the spirit of the season.
Sunday, December 6: Closing Day Celebration 10:00am - 4:00pm
• Last-Chance Shopping & Food Courts: Enjoy one final opportunity to shop unique gifts from artisan vendors, explore downtown boutiques, savor seasonal favorites from food trucks and local restaurants, and find those last special Christmas treasures.

FOOD VENDORS:
THE REQUIRED UPLOADS MAY BE UPLOADED DURING CREATION OF YOUR APPLICATION OR YOU MAY RETURN TO YOUR APPLICATION AND UPLOAD AT A LATER DATE BUT MUST BE COMPLETED NO LATER THAN TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. ALL FOOD CATEGORIES BELOW MUST UPLOAD FOOD HANDLERS CERTIFICATE.
FOOD/BEVERAGE TRUCK VENDOR:
- UPLOAD to your Application: Annual Mobile Food Permit or a Temporary Food Event Permit.
- Vendors under a Mobile Food Permit must operate only from their permitted mobile unit and may not set up any storage, preparation, or service outside of that unit without obtaining a Temporary Food Event Permit.
- Vendors are encouraged to obtain a Mobile Permit, as this permit allows participation in events for one year from the date of issuance.
- UPLOAD to your application permit from the Williamson County and Cities Health Department to complete your application: www.wcchd.org
- UPLOAD to your application: Certificate of Insurance showing proof of liability coverage by August 26, 2026. (Coverage must include a minimum of $1,000,000 general liability and products completed. Downtown Georgetown Association, 116 W. 8th #109 Georgetown, TX 78626 must be listed as ‘additional insured’ through the event date.)
- UPLOAD to your Application: Vendors must submit the City of Georgetown Fire permit 2 weeks prior to the Christmas Stroll event.
- Vendors must pass the onsite day-of fire inspection by City of Georgetown Fire Department.
FOOD/BEVERAGE TENT VENDOR:
- UPLOAD Temporary Food Event Permit for the entire event duration to do more extensive onsite preparation and service. Food Vendors are subject to all TEMPORARY EVENT FOOD BOOTH SET UP REQUIREMENTS.
- UPLOAD to your application permit from the Williamson County and Cities Health Department to complete your application: www.wcchd.org
- UPLOAD to your application: Certificate of Insurance showing proof of liability coverage by August 26, 2026. (Coverage must include a minimum of $1,000,000 general liability and products completed. - Vendors must pass the onsite day-of fire inspection by City of Georgetown Fire Department.
FOOD/BEVERAGE TENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Vendors are responsible for providing and setting up all booth equipment, including WiFi or cellular service for point-of-sale transactions, tables, chairs, a mobile battery-operated power source (generators are prohibited), bright LED lighting for evening shopping hours, a tent with four (4) sidewalls, and a minimum of fifty (50) pounds of weight securely attached to each tent leg.
- All food tent vendors preparing, handling, serving, or sampling food must have a handwashing station within their booth that complies with Williamson County and City of Georgetown health regulations. Handwashing stations must be fully operational and available throughout all event hours.
- The Williamson County Health Department will be onsite during the event conducting health inspections, and vendors are responsible for meeting all health and safety requirements.

We are excited to announce that we are looking for a wide variety of performers to join us for the 44th Annual Georgetown Christmas Stroll!

We are seeking fun, upbeat, family-friendly entertainment of all kinds—musicians (solo artists as well as full bands) dancers, and more. We welcome performances from dance academies and gymnastics groups as part of our lineup.
⏱ Performance Guidelines:
Please make sure that your performance is family friendly. Time slots will be assigned by the DGA team, if your assigned time does not work for you please reach out as soon as possible.
Performers will have the option to request AM or PM, but final scheduling will be determined by the DGA .Please bring your instraments and music with you when you check in for your performance time.
Performers are asked to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure they are ready for their scheduled time.
Stage placement will also be determined by our team based on the size of your group (for example, full bands vs. solo performers).

Hospitality Team members will assist with welcoming guests, maintaining the hospitality area, answering questions, monitoring refreshments, and ensuring everyone feels appreciated and well cared for.
This position requires volunteers who are dependable, professional, and able to communicate effectively with the Hospitality Team Lead and DGA staff. Team members should be comfortable taking direction, adapting to changing needs, and working together to provide a seamless VIP experience.

Responsibilities may include:
Welcoming sponsors, VIPs, performers, and special guests
Assisting with food and beverage service
Maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting hospitality space

Helping ensure every guest receives exceptional service throughout the event

Love taking photos? We’re looking for volunteer amateur photographers to help capture the memories of our 45th Annual Hometown Christmas Stroll. It’s a great opportunity to gain event experience, and be part of one of Georgetown’s favorite holiday traditions.
Requirements:
- Must have your own camera or a newer smartphone with a high-quality camera
- Available during the event December 4–6, 2026
- Comfortable photographing people, vendors, performances, and downtown festivities
- Able to submit high-resolution images to DGA during the event (photos will become property of the DGA)
- Friendly, dependable, and willing to work as part of our media team

Information Hub Team
Do you love helping people and making others feel welcome? The Information Hub Team is often one of the first friendly faces our guests meet during Christmas Stroll!
Information Hub volunteers serve as the "go-to" resource for attendees by answering questions, providing directions, sharing event schedules, and helping visitors discover everything happening throughout Downtown Georgetown. Each volunteer will be assigned to a specific area of the event and should become familiar with the businesses, activities, entertainment, and attractions located on their designated street.
We're looking for volunteers who enjoy interacting with people, have a positive attitude, and are comfortable communicating with guests of all ages. Great customer service skills, a friendly smile, and a willingness to help are a must!
Responsibilities may include:
Welcoming attendees and answering questions
Providing directions and event information
Sharing schedules, maps, and activity locations
Promoting downtown businesses, restaurants, and attractions on your assigned street
Assisting guests in finding performances, vendors, restrooms, parking, and other event amenities
Communicating with the Information Hub Team Lead and DGA staff to relay important updates or guest needs

Stage & Backstage Access Team
The Stage & Backstage Access Team helps keep our entertainment areas organized, safe, and running smoothly throughout Christmas Stroll. Volunteers in this role assist DGA staff by monitoring access points to the stage and backstage areas, helping ensure that only authorized performers, crew members, volunteers, and event staff enter restricted spaces.
We're looking for dependable volunteers who are observant, professional, and comfortable interacting with the public. This position requires individuals who can communicate clearly, follow directions, and remain calm while providing friendly assistance.
Volunteers will work closely with the Stage Team Lead and DGA staff to help maintain an organized backstage environment so performers and production crews can focus on delivering a great experience for our guests.
Responsibilities may include:
Monitoring stage and backstage access points
Greeting performers, crew members, volunteers, and authorized guests
Directing unauthorized guests to public viewing areas
Assisting with performer check-in and stage transitions as directed
Communicating with the Stage Team Lead and DGA staff regarding any needs or concerns
Helping maintain a safe, organized, and professional backstage environment
Ideal Volunteer Traits:

Excellent communication and customer service skills
Dependable and attentive to detail
Comfortable following procedures and taking direction
Able to remain calm and courteous in busy environments

The DGA Christmas Stroll event is a rain-or-shine event, and no refunds will be issued for any circumstances including inclement weather.
I am responsible for providing my own setup, including 10x10 tent with proper weights, tables, chairs, displays and signage.
I understand that all sales and transactions are my responsibility.
I will comply with all local health and safety regulations.
I release and hold harmless the Downtown Georgetown Association, the City of Georgetown, and Williamson County from any liability, loss, or damage.
