For 45 years, the Georgetown Christmas Stroll has brought families, friends, and visitors together to celebrate the spirit of the Christmas in the heart of Historic Downtown Georgetown. This year, the Downtown Georgetown Association invites you to experience Hometown Christmas Stroll: A Season to Gather a warm and welcoming FREE family-friendly three-day celebration filled with twinkling lights, festive décor, holiday music, and timeless traditions. More than a holiday event, it's a place to slow down, connect, and create meaningful memories with the people who matter most and experience the hospitality and community spirit that makes Georgetown special. With more than 72,000 attendees in 2025, Christmas Stroll has become one of Central Texas' most cherished holiday traditions. Enjoy the Christmas Parade, Santa's Village, holiday concerts, family activities, festive food and drinks, charming downtown storefronts, and over 200 artisan and boutique vendors. From dancing with the Grinch to gathering beneath the glow of the Square's holiday lights, every experience is designed to bring people together. At its heart, Hometown Christmas Stroll: A Season to Gather is a celebration of community, connection, and traditions, inviting families, friends, and visitors to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories in the heart of Georgetown, Texas! Friday, December 4: Stroll Kickoff Celebration 4:00pm - 9:30pm • Kickoff Celebration: Gather with family and friends as Historic Downtown Georgetown comes alive with the grand illumination of thousands of holiday lights, festive music, and the joyful spirit of the season. It's the perfect way to kick off your Christmas. • Dancing with the Grinch & Concert: Dance, laugh, and capture festive photos with the Grinch before enjoying a local live music and evening concert that fills the Square with Christmas cheer. • Christmas Marketplace & Food Courts: Discover over 200 artisan and boutique vendors offering handcrafted gifts, holiday décor, seasonal treats, and one-of-a-kind treasures while enjoying delicious eats from local food trucks. • Stroll the Square: Explore beautifully decorated storefronts, festive dining, cozy cafés, and the warm hospitality that make Historic Downtown Georgetown a favorite holiday destination. Saturday, December 5: A Day to Gather 10:00am - 9:30pm • Christmas Parade: Everyone’s favorite! Watch colorful floats, festive performers, and local groups march through the streets in a swirl of holiday spirit. The parade starts at 10:00 a.m. • Santa’s Village, Whoo Hair & Face Painting: Visit Santa for memorable family photos, enjoy whimsical Whoo Hair makeovers, and let little ones become part of the holiday fun with festive face painting. • Holiday Shopping & Food Courts: Spend the day browsing more than 200 artisan vendors, exploring locally owned boutiques, enjoying delicious food trucks, dining at downtown restaurants, and treating yourself to seasonal favorites throughout the Square. • Family Activities: Explore Kids Zone offering games, treats, and crafts for all ages. This special area is filled with games, interactive crafts, rock wall, obstacle course, designed to delight kids and families alike. • Snow in the Park: Experience the excitement of real falling snow in the heart of Downtown Georgetown! Build lasting memories as children play, families gather, and everyone enjoys one of Christmas Stroll's favorite holiday traditions. • Live Entertainment: Enjoy entertainment throughout the day on two unique stages! The Jingle Bell Stage features live music, including our Saturday night headlining band and dancing, while the Silver Bell Stage showcases talented local schools, dance studios, cheer teams, musicians, and community performances that celebrate the spirit of the season. Sunday, December 6: Closing Day Celebration 10:00am - 4:00pm • Last-Chance Shopping & Food Courts: Enjoy one final opportunity to shop unique gifts from artisan vendors, explore downtown boutiques, savor seasonal favorites from food trucks and local restaurants, and find those last special Christmas treasures. • Family Fun & Live Entertainment: Continue making holiday memories with family activities, festive performances, and holiday entertainment throughout Historic Downtown Georgetown. • Hometown Farewell: Before the weekend comes to a close, gather with loved ones to soak in the sights, sounds, traditions, and hospitality that have made Georgetown Christmas Stroll a cherished holiday tradition for 45 years.

We’re gearing up for another Downtown Georgetown Association in Downtown Georgetown — and we’d love for you to join us again! Your time and heart helped make last year’s Stroll a wonderful success, filling the Square with joy and community spirit. Because of dedicated volunteers like you, families from near and far continue to make this cherished Georgetown tradition part of their holiday season. This year’s theme is Hometown Christmas Stroll "A Season To Gather", and the event will be held Friday–Sunday, December 4–6, 2025, during the following hours: · Friday, December 4: 4:00 PM – 9:30 PM · Saturday, December 5: 10:00 AM – 9:30 PM o Parade 10:00 AM · Sunday, December 6: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Stage & Backstage Access Team The Stage & Backstage Access Team helps keep our entertainment areas organized, safe, and running smoothly throughout Christmas Stroll. Volunteers in this role assist DGA staff by monitoring access points to the stage and backstage areas, helping ensure that only authorized performers, crew members, volunteers, and event staff enter restricted spaces. We're looking for dependable volunteers who are observant, professional, and comfortable interacting with the public. This position requires individuals who can communicate clearly, follow directions, and remain calm while providing friendly assistance. Volunteers will work closely with the Stage Team Lead and DGA staff to help maintain an organized backstage environment so performers and production crews can focus on delivering a great experience for our guests. Responsibilities may include: Monitoring stage and backstage access points Greeting performers, crew members, volunteers, and authorized guests Directing unauthorized guests to public viewing areas Assisting with performer check-in and stage transitions as directed Communicating with the Stage Team Lead and DGA staff regarding any needs or concerns Helping maintain a safe, organized, and professional backstage environment Ideal Volunteer Traits: Friendly, confident, and professional Excellent communication and customer service skills Dependable and attentive to detail Comfortable following procedures and taking direction Able to remain calm and courteous in busy environments Enjoys working as part of a team This role is ideal for volunteers who enjoy helping behind the scenes and want to play an important part in ensuring our performers, production team, and guests have a safe and successful Christmas Stroll experience. Whether you can volunteer for a few hours or the full weekend, your time helps create a warm, welcoming experience for everyone who visits the Stroll. Georgetown Christmas Stroll Volunteer Terms and Conditions Volunteer Acknowledgment By signing the question below, I acknowledge that I am participating as a volunteer for the Georgetown Christmas Stroll, organized by the Downtown Georgetown Association. I understand that I am not an employee, agent, or contractor of the Association and that I will not receive wages, compensation, or benefits for my participation. My involvement is voluntary and done for community benefit. ________________________________________ Commitment & Attendance Volunteers are expected to honor their scheduled shifts and arrive on time. If a volunteer is unable to attend, they must provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to the volunteer coordinator so adjustments can be made. ________________________________________ Conduct & Behavior Volunteers are representatives of the Downtown Georgetown Association and are expected to act respectfully, courteously, and professionally at all times. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior toward staff, vendors, participants, or fellow volunteers will not be tolerated. Volunteers are expected to follow all instructions given by event staff and coordinators. ________________________________________ Alcohol, Drugs, and Smoking Policy Consumption or possession of alcohol or illegal drugs while volunteering or while wearing volunteer identification is strictly prohibited. Volunteers may not report to their shifts under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Smoking and vaping are only allowed in designated areas. ________________________________________ Liability Waiver I understand that participating as a volunteer may involve risks, including but not limited to physical activity, exposure to weather, and interaction with the public. By signing below, I release and hold harmless the Downtown Georgetown Association, the City of Georgetown, event sponsors, and their representatives from all claims, liabilities, or damages arising out of my participation as a volunteer. ________________________________________ Medical Treatment Authorization In the event of an injury or medical emergency, I authorize event staff or emergency medical personnel to administer necessary care or arrange transportation for further medical attention. I understand that I am responsible for any medical costs incurred because of such treatment. ________________________________________ Safety & Compliance Volunteers agree to follow all event safety procedures, emergency protocols, and staff directions. Closed-toe shoes and appropriate attire are required. Volunteers must immediately report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the volunteer coordinator. ________________________________________ Dismissal Policy The Downtown Georgetown Association reserves the right to dismiss any volunteer at any time for failure to follow instructions, misconduct, or behavior that negatively reflects on the event or organization. ________________________________________ Volunteer Meeting Requirement All volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation meeting, either in person or online, prior to the event.
