The holiday season in Downtown Smithfield is one of the most special times of the year. Our streets come alive with lights, music, and festive activities that bring people together, support our small businesses, and create lasting memories for families. We would be honored to have your support in making this year’s celebrations possible.
Here’s what’s planned for Christmas in Downtown Smithfield:
Kickoff to Christmas: Tree Lighting & Holiday Market (Nov. 28) – Shop local vendors, enjoy live entertainment, and join the community as we light our town’s Christmas tree, marking the start of the season.
Little Elves Workshop & Visit with Santa (Dec 21)– Children enjoy holiday crafts and the chance to meet Santa, creating magical moments for families.
Santa’s Hut Hours (see schedule attached)– Families can visit Santa in his cozy hut throughout the season and tell him just what he should bring at Christmas.
Jingle Bell Jubilee (Dec 14)– Festive performances at the Town Christmas Tree, visits with Santa, and carriage rides through downtown create a holiday atmosphere for all ages.
Hot Cocoa Crawl (Dec 12)– Participating businesses serve creative cocoa-inspired treats, drinks, and surprises while guests explore shops and enjoy live Christmas music downtown.
Smithfield Christmas Parade (Dec. 11) – A beloved tradition featuring floats, marching bands, and holiday cheer.
Carriage Rides (see schedule attached)– Offered on select evenings, these rides allow families to experience the beauty of downtown lit up for the season.
Your donation will help bring these events to life and more importantly, your support strengthens the heartbeat of our community — our downtown — during this most cherished season.
We hope you’ll join us in spreading holiday cheer and celebrating the season in Downtown Smithfield.
