Whidbey Ren Faire 2026

We could not bring the magic of Mysthaven to Whidbey Island without our amazing volunteers! From set up to Faire Days to tear down, from logistics to front gate to behind the scenes, no matter your interests, mobility needs, or time constraints, we have a place for you. Shenanigans, magic, faire tickets, food, fun, and amazing memories await you. There is much to do to bring a mystical village the size of Mysthaven to life. Interested in planning and building? Infrastructure may be for you. Our base camp is where the magic stays on time and on track. Do you find joy in meeting new people, jumping in where needed or keeping things on track while staying in the background? Join Blue in Base Camp. Love to be dramatic, be on the move and in the thick of things? Our Town Square, with roles in children's realm, and general helpers, or our Front Gate, where the clerks and peace guards can be found, might suit you. Yearn for the high energy and rowdy shenanigans of the Tavern? We need sparkly ale slingers and strong security. Will you join us in creating a fun, fantastic Faire for everyone?

This form is for Whidbey Ren Faire participants who plan to camp on-site. If you do not need camping, you do not need to complete this form. You MUST have a previously approved participant application (i.e. vendor, food vendor, performer, volunteer application, etc.) prior to having your camping application approved.

This will help our team coordinate camping logistics and ensure your setup is identified and safe. Campsites are issued on a first come, first serve basis. Advance registration helps us ensure we have enough space for all approved participants wishing to camp.

Note: This is dry, primitive camping. There are no water or electrical hookups, so please come prepared. All primitive campsites will not exceed 20'x20' (this is large enough to accomodate one standard size tent and one standard size vehicle).

 

You may redeem 2 free shower vouchers at Basecamp or from the Campground coordinator upon check-in to your campsite. Public showers can be located at John Vanderzicht Memorial Pool located at 85 SE Jerome St, Oak Harbor, WA 98277.

Whidbey Ren Faire invites media professionals to help document the excitement, artistry, and community of our annual medieval celebration.

Approved media representatives will have the opportunity to explore the faire, connect with performers and vendors, and showcase the unique atmosphere of Whidbey Ren Faire through visual, written, or digital storytelling. Whether you specialize in photography, video, journalism, or social media coverage, we welcome you to apply for a media badge and help bring the magic to life.

Whidbey Ren Faire began as a dream to bring wonder, creativity, and community together on Whidbey Island. In just two years, that dream has grown beyond anything we imagined — welcoming nearly 8,000 guests in our first year and over 11,000 in our second. Now we are working toward the next great step: creating a permanent home for the Faire. We have identified a beautiful 53-acre property on Whidbey Island that could become the future site of Mysthaven, a year-round home for Whidbey Ren Faire and other community events. This land would allow us to build something truly special over time — a permanent village of guild halls, market lanes, stages, and gathering spaces where stories, music, and adventure can live year after year. Your support helps us: • Secure land for a permanent Faire site • Increase accessibility and improve facilities • Build infrastructure for future festivals and community gatherings • Expand educational and cultural programming We are seeking community support to help raise $300,000 toward the purchase of this land. Every contribution, large or small, brings us one step closer to building Mysthaven — a place where imagination, history, and community come alive.
