About the event
The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival is always held on the 2nd full weekend of October. The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival is a show featuring over 400 crafters and artisans from over 26 different states! This two day event will attract between 300,000 and 400,000 visitors that line historic district of downtown Waynesville. Of course, there will be nearly 40 different food varieties showcasing Sauerkraut, such as sauerkraut pies and brownies, brats, pizza, and sundaes, and so much more!! Don’t worry if you don’t like sauerkraut though… there will be plenty of other food types without the Kraut! The Ohio Sauerkraut Festival is a FREE event and does not require ticket entry. Official parking is at Wayne Local Schools. Free shuttle service runs Saturday and Sunday during festival hours. Main stage is located at the corner of Main Street and North Street. *Hosted by the Waynesville Area Chamber of Commerce Important Notice for Vendors: We’ve been made aware of false posts and individuals claiming to be accepting vendor applications for the 55th Ohio Sauerkraut Festival. Please be cautious, these are not affiliated with our festival. The only way to apply as a vendor is directly through the Waynesville Area Chamber of Commerce. Do not send money or information to anyone messaging you through Facebook or third-party links. Your safety and trust are very important to us. If you see suspicious activity, please report it to us right away. Thank you for helping us keep our festival community safe.

Deadline: Sep 25, 2026

Thank you for your interest in this year's Ohio Sauerkraut Festival!  Please review the information below before submitting your application.

We are a double juried festival, which means that your products must be approved by the jury committee before you are accepted and a booth can be assigned.  Once approved, a jury team will visit you during the festival to make sure that all items are handmade, and that they are the items you were approved for.

Please upload at least three photos representing you making your craft.  These photos should include your raw materials along with you making your craft so there is no doubt that your items are hand crafted.  We do not allow any manufactured or buy to resell items in your booth.  Please also send pictures of your finished product.   Only the items listed on this application are allowed into your booth during the festival.

You will be notified of the jury committee's decision through your Eventeny portal.  If accepted, there is a one-time processing fee along with your booth fee.  All booth spaces are sized 10x10, there are no exceptions, and double booths may be requested after you have been at the festival at least one year.  You must provide your own tent.

If accepted into the festival, arrangements must be made by you regarding accommodations and parking.  This is a separate cost.  We do have some local businesses listed in the vendor packet that rent parking space to festival vendors for the weekend.  The cost and arrangements are between you and the businesses directly.

All vendors must carry liability insurance of $1,000,000.  If you have insurance already, we only need a certificate of insurance showing coverage dates for the festival.  The Chamber should be named as an additional insured.  You are also able to purchase coverage for the festival weekend through Encover below.

All vendors must have vehicles off the road by 7:00 am and be set up and ready to open by Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at 9:00am.
