About the event
Izzy Fest 2026 is rolling in May 1st & 2nd at Beach Central in Galveston, TX! We kick off Friday afternoon and keep the good vibes flowing with live music, art, local vendors, and sunset hangs through Saturday night.
Saturday morning, grab your shades and hit the beach for our longboard surf contest—smooth style, surf commentary, and laid-back family vibes—then roll back to the festival grounds for louder riffs, bigger energy, and nonstop Third Coast celebration.
See you on the sand.

Join us for the La Izquierda Surf & Music Festival. We’re curating a dynamic lineup of original artists, designers, and small brands offering high-quality, handcrafted goods. Coastal and surf-influenced work by local businesses are welcome but not required — authenticity and originality matter most.

Beer booth volunteers MUST be TABC certified and over 21 years of age. Help out at the beer booth by selling and serving Galveston Island Brewing beer.

Help welcome and get wristbands for our eventgoers! We need friendly faces to be the front of our festival and start off the radical experience that is La Izquierda Fest.
We would really appreciate if you could provide a warm hand-off to the next round of volunteers before leaving. Please report to Front Gate Leads Jessica and Pamela for any questions or concerns during your shift.

Help people take home a reminder of all the fun that was had at this amazing festival. Everyone wears t-shirts...why not one of ours? Help patrons find something to buy, collect money, and maintain organization of all our sweet merch.
It would be so helpful if you could provide a warm hand-off to the volunteers of the next shift, and report to the Merchandise Team Lead Jon with any questions or concerns during your shift.

Help us greet and assist guests in the VIP lounge, and check wristbands so that only VIP guests enter the space. We would really appreciate it if you could provide a warm hand-off to the next volunteer taking your shift.

We'll need some strapping volunteers to help re-set the stage in between musical performances. Backstage volunteers can also assist with ensuring all of the bands have what they need by keeping tabs on on drinks and snacks.

Kids 12 and under get in free.
Dogs must be on leashes, and in the festival grounds must have a Pooch Pass.
