Howl on the Green 2026

This application is for food trucks, snack vendors and dessert vendors. Howl On The Green is Duluth's annual Halloween event, hosting over 8,000 people with the chance to participate in costume contests, enjoy live entertainment, and so much more. It will take place on Duluth Town Green Friday, October 23 from 6-10PM.To become an eligible Food vendor for Howl On The Green, the following form must be completed and submitted for review. This application is for all Non-Profits looking to promote their organization. If you are looking to sell product, please complete the Mix Match Vendor Application. Approved applicants will be selected based on event needs, application date submitted and availability. If weather becomes a factor, the event will not be canceled until the actual day of the event. You will then be contacted by a City official to let you know of any changes/cancellations.Please note this is an application. Do you have what it takes to be crowned Trunk or Treat Champion? Bring your most creative, spook-tacular ideas to life at Howl on the Green on Friday, October 23! This year’s theme is Mad Science - Project Zombie. 

 

Get creative with your trunk or 10x10 tent and bring the theme to life with mad scientists, bubbling potions, mysterious experiments, zombie outbreaks, and experiments gone wrong! While any family-friendly Halloween design is welcome, we encourage you to have fun with this year’s theme—theme-related displays will be considered in the judging!

 

The grand prize is $200 in Downtown Duluth Gift Certificates, with additional prizes to be announced. A $20 participation fee is required to reserve your space, but the fee will be reimbursed as a Downtown Duluth Gift Certificate when you arrive. The City will also provide candy and/or favors for you to distribute, making participation free!

 

 

Trunk or Treat Details

• Date: October 23
• Trunk or Treat: 6:00–7:30 p.m.
• Participant arrival/load-in: 4:00–4:45 p.m. (Earlier arrival is available by request.)
• Set-up complete by: 5:45 p.m.
• Setup: Decorate a vehicle/trunk or 10x10 tent. Limited spaces with electricity are available by request.
• Candy/Favors: The City will provide candy and/or favors to distribute. Participants are welcome to provide their own as well.
• Reservation Fee: A $20 fee will be charged upon approval and reimbursed as a Downtown Duluth Gift Certificate upon arrival.
• Load-in Information: Detailed instructions will be sent the Monday before the event.
• End Time: Although Trunk or Treat is advertised until 7:30 p.m., we typically have long lines. Participants are asked to remain until everyone in line has had a chance to participate, which we anticipate will be approximately 8:30–9:00 p.m.
• Decorations: All decorations and activities must be family-friendly.
