Vendor Application Overview
Thank you for your interest in Hometown Market Days Co.! This brief guide will help you prepare for the application process. HMD is a juried and vendors are selected based on product quality, originality, and overall fit. We accept a variety of categories, including handmade goods, boutique items, home décor, art, jewelry, specialty foods, vintage, bath and body products, and approved food vendors.

During the application, you’ll provide product details, photos, and select your category so we can place you appropriately within the event. Accepted vendors will receive instructions for setup, parking, event protocol, and breakdown. All vendors must remain open for the full duration of the event and follow posted rules and regulations.

Food vendors must meet all required food-handling guidelines. Parking, loading/unloading areas, and booth setup details will be shared prior to the event to ensure a smooth experience.

This year, we’re bringing a little GAME DAY ENERGY to Hometown Market Days — and YOU are the HOME TEAM! You’re the people who make the magic happen. You’re the smiling faces, helping hands, problem-solvers, cheerleaders, and behind-the-scenes crew who help make Hometown Market Days what it is. So as we head into our 10th year, we’re excited to cheer YOU on! WAHOOOO! LET’S GO, HOME TEAM! Our next big Branson event is HOMETOWN MARKET DAYS CO. | November 20–22, and we truly couldn’t make it happen without our amazing volunteer team. THE NEW SEASON This volunteer profile helps us collect your information, stay organized, and communicate more clearly before and during the show. Please take a few minutes to complete your profile and make sure your information is correct. This will help us keep everything in one place and make sure you get the information you need. MEET YOUR TEAM CAPTAIN We’re excited to introduce Bev Jackson, our Hometown Market Days Volunteer Coordinator! Bev is part of the HMD team and will be your main contact between now and the show. She’ll be helping make sure you have everything you need along the way. She is absolutely amazing and has been part of the Hometown Market Days family for years, so you’re in great hands! Have a question about your shift, schedule, Info Day, or anything volunteer-related? BEV IS YOUR PERSON! THE GAME PLAN PICK YOUR SHIFT Choose the time slot that works best for you. We have 3 days and 6 different shifts to choose from! BRING YOUR PEOPLE Have a friend who would be fun to volunteer with? Send them the sign-up link, then bring them along! You can volunteer together, then shop the show before or after your shift. And yes… volunteers get FREE TICKETS + HMD BUCKS + A CUTIE BAG + A COOL SHIRT! PRE-GAME HUDDLE October 25 | 12:30–2:30 PM Team Photo at 1:15 PM Coffee on the Rocks | Downtown Hollister This is a come-and-go event, so stop by whenever you can! We’ll have your: * Hometown Market Days shirt * Schedule * Important volunteer information * Answers to your questions Plus, a drink and a baked good are on us! Please complete your volunteer profile by OCTOBER 7TH so we can order everything and have it ready for you. Can’t make Info Day? No worries! We’ll have your shirt and important information ready for you when you arrive for your shift. GAME DAY Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled shift and check in at the HMD Info/Holding Table. We’ll have instructions waiting for you, including where you’ll be working and anything else you need to know. CHEER FOR THE HOME TEAM Help us get the word out about Hometown Market Days! Hello! Thanks so much for your interest in joining the Hometown Market Days Co. Field Crew! We’re heading into YEAR 10, and this year we’re bringing a little GAME DAY energy to the show. Our Field Crew is a huge part of the HMD HOME TEAM — you’re the people on the ground helping vendors unload, move in, and get ready for the big weekend. It’s hard work, but it can be a lot of fun, and if you work hard, you can definitely make some extra money along the way! Here’s the game plan so you know exactly what to expect: # MEET YOUR TEAM CONTACT Bev Jackson is our Hometown Market Days Volunteer & Field Crew Coordinator and will be your main contact leading up to and during the show. If you have a question about your shift, schedule, where you need to be, or anything Field Crew-related, Bev is your person! # MEET YOUR FIELD CAPTAIN Kyeden Goodwin is our HMD Field Captain and will be leading the Field Crew during vendor load-in and load-out. Kyeden will help ensure everything runs smoothly with our vendors and will direct you throughout your shift on where you are needed and who needs help. When you arrive, check in with the HMD team and be ready to take direction from Kyeden. He’ll help keep the crew moving and make sure we have people where they are needed most. # ARRIVE READY FOR GAME DAY Please arrive a few minutes BEFORE your scheduled shift so you have time to get parked, walk to the building, and check in. You will NOT enter through the Convention Center's main entrance. Park in the parking lot and walk to the BACK (EAST) side of the Convention Center. You will enter through the LOADING DOCK DOORS and come into the exhibit halls from that side. When you arrive, check in with the HMD team before getting started. # YOUR FIELD CREW SHIRT We’ll provide you with a Hometown Market Days Field Crew shirt! You will need to WEAR YOUR FIELD CREW SHIRT EVERY TIME YOU ARE WORKING. This helps vendors easily identify you as part of the HMD Field Crew and helps our team know who is ready to jump in and help. Please wear your Field Crew shirt for every shift. # CHECK IN & TRACK YOUR HOURS When you arrive, you will need to sign the time sheet. Timesheets will be available when you come into the building. Please write legibly. PLEASE NOTE: We will NOT track your hours for you. You are responsible for: • Signing in when you arrive • Signing out when you leave • Making sure your time sheet is complete Your timesheet tells us how many hours to pay you, so please make sure it is completed correctly. # WHAT YOU’LL MAKE Field Crew members are paid $15.00 per hour PLUS tips from vendors you help load. And this is where being a great Field Crew member can really pay off! Some vendors are awesome tippers. Some, not so much. Your best game plan? Work hard. Be helpful. Be kind. Smile. Treat every vendor like they’re the most important person on the field. You never know who might be especially thankful for your help! # COME READY TO WORK This is a hands-on job, so please come prepared to move, lift, carry, and help vendors get their merchandise and displays from the loading area to their booths. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you can work in for several hours. November weather in Missouri can be unpredictable, and you may move between the loading dock, parking areas, and exhibit halls. Depending on the weather, you may want to bring: • Hat • Gloves • Coat or jacket • Comfortable, closed-toe shoes • Water bottle or drink Come prepared for whatever Missouri decides to throw at us! # PICK YOUR SHIFTS Take a look at the available Field Crew shifts and choose the ones that work for you. You may sign up for as many shifts as you would like. BUT... When you claim a shift, we are counting on you to SHOW UP. Our vendors are counting on us to have Field Crew available when they arrive, so please only sign up for shifts you know you can work. # IMPORTANT GAME-DAY NOTE We reserve the right to reduce Field Crew hours if the move-in schedule does not require as many crew members as we originally assigned. We will do our best to give everyone the hours they signed up for, but the actual need may change depending on vendor move-in. # YOU’RE PART OF THE HOME TEAM Thank you for being willing to be part of the Hometown Market Days Field Crew! You are an important part of making the whole weekend run smoothly. Our vendors remember the people who help them, and your attitude, work ethic, and kindness make a difference.
