Step into the world of creativity, fandom, and cosplay at Gold Arts Con, UNC Charlotte’s very own pop culture convention hosted by the Sewing and Cosplay Club!
Celebrate the best of anime, gaming, comics, and DIY culture with a day full of community and expression. This year’s con features exciting panels, a dazzling Idol Fest, an elegant Masquerade, a high-energy Cosplay Contest, and a vibrant selection of vendors showcasing fan art, merch, and more.
Whether you’re in full cosplay or just here for the vibes, Gold Arts Con is the place to be for students and fans alike.

Parking instructions
Cone Deck Address for GPS:
9625 Poplar Ln, Charlotte, NC 28223
This address will lead directly to the entrance of the deck for GPS users.
Cone Deck has multiple parking levels and is equipped with elevators, making it ADA accessible and convenient for cosplayers with large props or elaborate costumes.
Parking will be free for the event!
Coming from I-485 in Charlotte, NC:
Take Exit 33 (UNC Charlotte/Hwy 49) off I-485.
Turn onto University City Blvd (Hwy 49) heading south toward the university.
Continue for about 1.5 miles. You will see UNC Charlotte on your left.
Turn left onto Broadrick Blvd, the main entrance to campus (there is a traffic light here).
Follow Broadrick Blvd straight through the main entrance roundabout.
At the next intersection, turn right onto University Rd.
Follow University Rd around until you see signs for Cone Parking Deck on your left.
From I-85 in Charlotte, NC:
Take Exit 45A for W.T. Harris Blvd East.
Continue on W.T. Harris Blvd for about 7 miles.
Turn left onto University City Blvd (Hwy 49).
After about 1 mile, turn right onto Broadrick Blvd — this is the main entrance to UNC Charlotte (there’s a traffic light at the intersection).
Drive straight through the roundabout on Broadrick Blvd.
At the next intersection, turn right onto University Rd.
Follow University Rd and look for signage — Cone Parking Deck will be on your left.

Your safety and well-being are important to us! To ensure a fun and secure experience for everyone at Gold Arts Con, please follow these guidelines:
1. General Safety
Follow all instructions from event staff, campus security, and posted signage.
Report any unsafe conditions, suspicious activity, or emergencies to event staff immediately.
Keep walkways, doorways, and emergency exits clear at all times.
2. Personal Health
If you feel unwell or exhibit symptoms of illness, please consider staying home to protect others.
Stay hydrated and take breaks as needed, especially if wearing elaborate costumes or heavy props.
3. Cosplay and Props Safety
Costumes and props must not obstruct your vision or movement to the point of causing safety risks.
Large or unwieldy props should be handled carefully and not swung or used in a way that could harm others.
Please respect personal space and avoid physical contact unless invited.
4. Crowd and Venue Safety
Be mindful of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas like panels, contests, and vendor spaces.
Follow any capacity limits and social distancing guidelines in effect.
Children and minors must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
5. Emergency Procedures
Familiarize yourself with emergency exits and evacuation routes in all event areas.
In case of emergency, follow directions from event staff and campus security calmly and promptly.
6. Accessibility
The event strives to be inclusive and accessible. If you require assistance or accommodations, please contact event staff upon arrival.

Welcome to Gold Arts Con, proudly hosted by the UNCC Sewing and Cosplay Club at UNC Charlotte. By attending or participating in Gold Arts Con, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. General Conduct
All attendees, guests, and participants are expected to behave respectfully and follow UNC Charlotte’s campus policies and applicable laws.
Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior of any kind will not be tolerated. Violators may be asked to leave immediately.
2. Event Access and Admission
Gold Arts Con is free and open to all attendees.
The organizers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove individuals for any reason.
3. Cosplay and Props
The event is family-friendly. Costumes and behavior must be appropriate for all ages.
No firearms or props that resemble firearms are allowed on campus.
No impersonation of first responders (police, firefighters, EMTs, etc.) is permitted.
Please respect the personal space of others and obtain permission before photographing or interacting with cosplayers.
4. Photography and Media
By attending Gold Arts Con, you consent to being photographed or recorded. Images and videos may be used for promotional purposes by the organizers.
Please respect others’ privacy and do not take photos without consent.
5. Liability
Attendees participate at their own risk. The organizers, UNC Charlotte, and affiliated parties are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during the event.
Please follow all safety instructions provided by event staff.
6. Parking
The only official parking for Gold Arts Con attendees is at the Cone Deck on UNC Charlotte’s campus.
Parking in the Cone Deck is free during the event.
The organizers are not responsible for any parking fines, vehicle damage, or towing that may occur. Attendees park at their own risk.
