Get a little crafty and bring the outdoors in! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create your own preserved moss wall frame using rich textures and natural elements—no green thumb required. Ages 18+ Come create a custom copper trellis that is stylish and adds support to your houseplants. Teachers Stacey and Melanie will walk you through shaping and attaching beads to make them uniquely yours. No experience needed, but fun required! Ages 18+ If you love painting and creating but a large, blank canvas makes you leery, this class is for you! Come learn some basic painting techniques used to make personalized accessories such as claw hair clips and earrings. Participants will choose one package and designs before the class that will be engraved and cut and ready to paint. Once the painting is completed, your work will be sealed with a quick dry spray and finished off (for clips, you'll pick out a claw clip color to adhere your new creation to, and for earrings, you'll have the choice between gold or silver hardware). 16+ Learn the art and science behind candle making! This isn't your typical "mix and pour” - Your instructor Ally Powers, from Rhapsody, will explain the nerdy science behind candles and how they work. A fully stocked fragrance bar will be available to create your own custom blended 6oz candle! Please note your candle will need to set for a few hours before it can be moved and will be available for pick up the day after your class during regular City Hall business hours. Looking for a fun and creative night out? Join us for a collaborative painting workshop where the art (and the fun) keeps moving! Start with a pre-drawn canvas, then rotate every 10–15 minutes to add your own spin to each piece. You’ll end the night with a one-of-a-kind creation you helped bring to life. Participants must register in pairs or small groups, as you’ll rotate within your group throughout the experience. Each participant may choose from a variety of simple design options—and you’re welcome to select the same design or mix it up within your group. With a variety of designs to choose from, this workshop is perfect for all skill levels—whether you’re feeling artistic or just along for the fun.
