2024 Maker Vendor Application
Deadline: May 25, 2024
This application is for all the makers, artists, potters, plant + flower growers, paper people, vintage curators, clothing-creators, shelf-stable food makers (like jams, sauces, etc), and any other non-consumable/fresh* food vendors! Read More!

*If you make non-shelf stable foods or beverages - meaning fresh baked goods, cooking on site, anything that needs to be refrigerated or warmed - please use the Food & Beverage Vendor Application.

Before you begin, please make sure you have your business information and links handy, your photos ready [and formatted to square], and the dates you'd like to apply for! As a reminder, even if you're accepted to one market date, you are not guaranteed to be accepted into any additional dates.

Ok, ready?
Here's the deets:

MARKET: This is a outdoor market space on concrete/pavement. We pop up rain or shine! You are responsible for providing your own 10x10 tent, tables, any displays, chairs, etc. There is very very limited electricity available on site and will be available on a first come first served basis if you let me know after you’ve been accepted to the market date.

SELL YOURSELF: What makes your business different from others in your niche? What about your process, your story, your values set your business apart? Really sell yourself and your products to show me why you should be chosen over other makers making in the same category.

PHOTOS: These should be formatted to squares. I know I know I know... you're probably thinking, Sarah, that's so old school... but ultimately, it's a way for me to provide consistency on my end and with the platforms I use for marketing. If your photos are not formatted to squares a) your application may not be reviewed and b) I may crop your photos which probably won't make your products shine like they should. So, please submit your photos formatted / cropped to square format.

These photos should show off your product, your vibe, your branding, the function of the product, the cohesiveness of your products and how they work together, the size and scale of the product... etc.

Also, please make sure you're actually submitting the photos that pertain to your business... while I love seeing personal photos of you and your dogs/kids/families, or screenshots of your most recent insta post or etsy sale, it's not what's intended.

DATES: Please make sure to select all the dates that you're interested in - there will be a way to edit dates, however, in an effort to not miss any application deadlines, I recommend you select all the dates you want at the point of your initial application. Ultimately, you do you boo! There will be a way to edit your dates and remove them if you're no longer available - i.e. you're going to be out of town or got accepted to a different market the same weekend and are no longer available for one here. You will be responsible for editing your own availability if you're no longer available for a market date.

Thank you for your application and time and I hope we get to connect at the markets!
Food + Beverage Vendors - Tent, Truck, Trailer, Cart
Deadline: May 25, 2024
Thank you for your interest in being part of the Making Local Market events!!

I do my best to rotate food vendors through and also not overlap types of food, so please be aware that you will may not be accepted to every date you apply for, depending on availability.

NEW for 2024: You are responsible for getting your own annual fire permit at the City of Bothell. Please apply for your Annual Food Truck/Trailer/Tent permit at https://www.bothellwa.gov/1893/Food-Trucks-and-Mobile-Food-Vending and have it issued before any events you’re accepted to. This only applies to the Bothell location dates, not Mountlake Terrace or Marymoor Park.

This fire permit applies to any food vendor who is cooking on site — not vendors that are preparing things ahead of time and warming / refrigerating day-of or have shelf-stable food products. If you have shelf stable products, like jams, sauces, or other pre-packaged products, please use the 2024 Maker Application.

  • There will be a fire inspection in the morning prior to the event. If you do not pass this inspection, you will be sent home (and no one wants that)! Get your Bothell Fire Permit online via the link above - this is only for Bothell events. **If you are only warming or refrigerating - no generators, cooking fuel sources, or other flammable cooking implements, you will not need a Bothell Fire Permit, only the County one that applies to the event location.
  • Before you begin the application, please have your WA State Agriculture / Cottage Bakery permit or County Health Department documents ready to upload. Bothell is in King County Health Department's jurisdiction.
  • There is no electricity available on site. You will need to be fully self-sufficient on site.
Looking forward to tasting all the amazing food you bring to the market!
