54th Septemberfest

The Village of Schaumburg is pleased to present the 54th annual Schaumburg Septemberfest! Schaumburg Septemberfest, the village’s flagship event, is a three-day festival held over the Labor Day holiday weekend. Septemberfest was originally established in 1971 by local charitable organizations as a way to raise funds while providing an alternative to holiday travel for local residents. This year marks the 43rd year the village has sponsored the event, during which time Septemberfest has grown to be one of the largest festivals in Illinois. Since its inception, Septemberfest has seen a consistent increase in attendance. The Labor Day celebration historically draws over 100,000 patrons with most festival attendees from Schaumburg and the surrounding communities. Our Labor Day celebration is rooted in strong support and patronage from residents of Schaumburg and the surrounding suburbs. We're delighted to also welcome attendees from across the greater Chicagoland area and beyond state lines, making Septemberfest the destination to be for Labor Day weekend. Admission to Septemberfest and all entertainment is free!

Thank you for your interest in Volunteering for the 2025 Schaumburg Septemberfest Event which will be held from Saturday, August 30th - Monday, September 1st. Each volunteer will receive a volunteer T-shirt, parking pass, food tickets for their shift, have an opportunity to meet people from their community, and be invited to the Septemberfest Volunteer Appreciation Reception that will be held on Tuesday, September 30. - There are multiple volunteer locations - Shifts are 4 hours between the hours of 6:00 am and 11:00 pm - Volunteers in the Parking Areas will greet Fest Attendees and assist parking permitted vehicles - Information Booth Volunteers provide general fest details including: Musical acts, Map of the Fest, Crafter Locations and Taste Food Options - Volunteers may select multiple shifts in multiple locations.
