The 2024 Avenues Street Fair is set for Saturday, September 14, 2024! The Fair will be open from 9am to 6pm. The location will be announced soon, but will be on one of the Avenues streets, Salt Lake City 84103.

Parking instructions

Parking will be on the side streets adjacent to the event, and possibly in designated off-street lots.

Health & safety guidelines

As of now, no masks or other health conditions are mandated. On the day of the Fair, we will be using then-current protocols from the Salt Lake County Health Department. https://slco.org/health/Media/updated-covid-prevention-recommendations/

Food vendor booths include one (1) electrical connection and one (1) water connection. Bring your own extension cord, power strip and hose.

Choose the fee for on-street tent setup, or truck/trailer setup.

Artist, Retail, Prepackaged Foods

This is the artist and retail vendor application for locally made, handmade arts and crafts. Examples are fabrics, ceramics, paintings, photography, woodworking, paper crafts, jewelry (if handmade). Also prepacked foods, made and packaged offsite in a commercial kitchen.

We do not accept vendors of these products: resellers, imported goods, multi-level marketing products, personal financial services (insurance agents, investment advisors).

Non-Profit Organizations

This is the application for nonprofit organizations.

You may not sell anything at our event.

Your presence at our event is to give out Information about your organization and your non-profit mission.

You must be a verifiable 501c3 nonprofit registered with the Utah Division of Corporations or a national affiliate i.e. Girl Scouts of America.

Avenues Youth Booth

This application is for youth applicants (under age 18 at the time of the Fair), who have hand-made, locally made arts and crafts. No food or drink selling in this category. Must be an Avenues resident.

Political Party or Candidate

Deadline: Aug 31, 2024

Apply

This is the application for political parties or candidates.

All political parties are allowed to parcipate.

Individual candidates must be running for an office whose geographical boundaries include the Avenues area of Salt Lake City.

Government Agency

This application is for government agency, informational only booths for City, County, State or Federal agencies that want to be at our event to provide information to the public. We do not charge a fee for government agencies to appear at our Fair.

GACC Organizer Booth

This application is for booths being reserved for the use of the event organizer, the Greater Avenues Community Council. GACC Committees or other functions of the Fair that will get assigned a booth space.

Street Marking Friday Night

Chalk out the booth spaces the night before the fair and set up cones, city garbage and recycle cans.

Represent the GACC, Sell GACC Merchandise at the Information Booth, Lost and Found, Volunteer Assistance, Direct fair attendees.

Early Morning set up

Sales tax forms hand out

Walk the fair and hand out sales tax forms to vendors. Pick up forms at GACC HQ booth. Start at 9:30 and takes about two hours.

Opportunity drawing booth

Sell tickets, collect donated prizes from vendors, and award prizes.

Trash Cans and Recycling Bins

Check the garbage and recycling cans along fair route and when they are full move them to a side street and replace them with empty bins.
