Deadline: Jan 02, 2026
Volunteer for 1st Faire 2026! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with our upcoming event. Come join our team for a fun-filled experience and help bring the magic to life! We need support with set-up and clean-up, parking, security, marketing, and more. Volunteering is a commitment, before officially joining the team, you are required to attend our orientation and four meetings(One in January, February, March and April). These sessions will prepare you for your role, keep you updated, and ensure we’re all working together to create an unforgettable event. For any direct questions please contact (text preferred) our Volunteer Coordinator Ashley Maye 509-496-3135 or email at 1stfaire@gmail.com At the Gate: As the first point of contact, the Gatekeepers are responsible for setting the tone of the event. They handle the finances, possess knowledge of the festival's ins and outs, and must have an organized, outgoing, and friendly personality. Security: The Security team ensures that everyone is safe and having a great time. We aren’t looking for anyone aggressive, instead, we value those who lead with presence, patience, humor, and care. This team focuses on de-escalation and creating a safe, welcoming environment for all. Parkers: The Parkers are the master “Tetris” players of the event, responsible for accommodating the needs of attendees and organizing mass parking. This position requires excellent spatial skills, direct communication, and patience. Set-up Crew: The Set-up Crew prepares the festival grounds before the event begins. From tents and signage to stage setups and decorations, this team makes the magic visible. It’s ideal for folks who are physically able, love a good checklist, and enjoy working as a team. Clean-up & Load-up Crew: This crew ensures that 1st Faire ends as beautifully as it begins. Tasks include breaking down installations, packing up equipment, handling waste and recycling, and making sure the space is left better than we found it. A great role for detail-oriented folks with a strong work ethic. Marketing Team: Our Marketing Team spreads the word and the wonder of 1st Faire! Volunteers will help with handing out flyers, recording or editing video content, managing social media posts, setting up eye-catching displays at other markets, and helping tell the story of the faire. Perfect for outgoing, creative individuals who love hype, community connection, and a bit of flair. Swag Shop Crew: The Swag Shop Crew helps run one of the most fun and interactive parts of the festival the place where attendees can pick up official merch, trade in prizes, or check in with the Info Booth for guidance on the immersive “Down the Rabbit Hole” game. The Swag Shop will also be the designated spot to pick up certain permits, making it an important stop for both fun and function. This year, the Swag Shop is also a vital hub in the adventure. Shoppers won’t just be browsing merch, they’ll be uncovering clues, unlocking challenges, and finding their way deeper into the festival-wide story. Volunteers will assist with organizing merchandise, setting up displays, keeping inventory flowing, and making sure every shopper feels excited about their finds and their quest progress. This role is perfect for friendly, energetic people who love customer service, enjoy helping others score cool items, and want to keep the fun energy alive all weekend long.
