Welcome to the Sewanee Summer Music Festival - where music, community, and discovery come together on the mountain. For over 60 years, SSMF has been a place where young musicians grow as artists, connect with inspiring mentors, and form lifelong friendships. Each summer, students join world-class faculty for four weeks of intensive training in orchestra, chamber music, and individual study. Along the way, they gain access to unique opportunities - from life coaching and career guidance, to concerto competitions and chamber intensives - that shape both their artistry and their future. With breathtaking surroundings, a supportive community, and concerts that light up every week, SSMF is more than a festival. It's a transformative experience that stays with you long after the final note.
