About this event
This 50th annual July 4 celebration in historic downtown St Marys (the Park Service gateway to the Cumberland Island National Seashore) is set on the St Marys River and its surrounding salt marshes. This family-oriented event (no alcohol) features 5K and 10K races while vendors set up in the early morning, a parade, entertainment throughout the day, rides, & fireworks after dark. Spend the day in a charming setting without intrusive development.
The 48th Annual Independence Day Festival Events include:
7 a.m. -- 5K & 10K races
9 a.m -- Arts, Crafts,Food Vendors & Children's Activities Open
10 a.m. -- Parade
11 a.m. - 9:15 p.m. -- Main Stage Entertainment
12 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. -- Gilman Waterfront Stage Entertainment
7 p.m. -- River Boat Fireworks Cruise ($20 per person)
9:30 p.m. -- Fireworks Show
