NEW! Etch is my newest line of hand-dyed yarn. This is a fingering weight, single ply, striping/gradient yarn. It's non-superwash South American wool, which is next-to-the-skin soft with a tiny bit of a sheen to it. The last photo is to show you an example of how these yarns work up, and is not included in this sale. (Pattern is "Close to You" by Lete's Knit, yarn used in Etch Fingering in the Wild Roses colorway.)
Weight: Fingering Weight
Fiber: South American Wool (non-superwash)
Yardage: Approx. 430 yards, 100 grams
Colorway: Lilly Pad
Hand wash cold ONLY. (This fiber will felt.)
NOTE: Due to the nature of how this yarn is dyed (kettle dyed first, then spun into yarn), color placement and intensity will vary between skeins, and within the skein itself. The yarn you receive may look slightly different than those in the photo. This is something that cannot be controlled, and is the beauty of this type of yarn. Let yourself go and allow the yarn to do it's magic! When ordering multiple skeins, I will try to select skeins that are the closest match to one another. If you have a preference -- darkest, lightest, one showing the most of a certain color, please write it in the notes and I will do my best.
--------------------------------
All yarns and fibers are hand dyed by me in my smoke-free home studio. I do have pets, so please take this into consideration if you are highly allergic.
I only use professional colorfast, washfast acid dyes. However due to the intense colors and high saturation of pigments, there might be a small amount of color bleed in your first wash.
I try my best to represent the true color of my products, but please be aware that monitors do vary and may show the colors slightly different.

A note about the milling process.
All ColorMix yarns are milled in a small, family-run US mini mill. This means that the yarns are created by hand in small batches on simple cottage industry equipment. Due to this, there will be small variances in the thickness of the yarn throughout the skein, as well as the occasional slub or join where the spinning machine "burped" while in the middle of the run. :)
