Turquoise Lines Multicolour Abstract Painting, 24" x 36" x 1.5" 60.96 cm x 91.44 cm x 3.8 cm), Acrylic on Canvas Painting by Toronto Artist Rachael Grad.
Colorful dripping lines of paint in this original abstract painting were slowly applied in many layers. A drippy, watery fluid painting in beautiful multicolour with spots of brightness. This multicoloured, abstract painting combines many shades of bright turquoise, red, orange, yellow, blue, green, and white. Lines of paint dripping in layers of brushstrokes, drips of watery color and washes of color.
Please note that the original painting is signed on the back. The "Rachael Grad" writing on the art is only for web and art print purposes.

Bright colours and experimenting with technique are the focuse of my colour studies. I’m forced to give up control of the paint and the result. The watery paint travels, changes and moves on its own. These artworks are painted over many sessions, very slowly with wet brushes and runny paint.
The colors are mixed on the palette before slowly and carefully dripped onto the canvas. Once placed on the canvas, the watery, saturated colours often run into one another and make new, surprising combinations. This creates a fluid effect of coloured lively, dripping lines. I slowly layer with more paint colour over time.
