Oil, Acrylic, Charcoal, Ink on Canvas
2020
Framed in a white wood float frame
Unlike other pieces from this series, I created this piece without any intention. I worked intuitively from the layers of colors to the lines and shapes. The canvas literally seemed to paint itself as I responded to each mark without conscious intent which is why you see an obscure vision of my hand creating the piece as it flowed from the subconscious.
Is it a tea party in Tucson? Wait, are they riding a whale? Are the people gathered around that one pond of water in the desert? Is that a runaway banana? I left this piece untitled so it is open to interpretation.
