I started my business 18 years ago when I had twins and didn't want to go back to a 9-5 job. I sewed as a teen, and decided I would use that skill, and made 5 styles of hooded towels to start. After 7 years of doing art/craft shows on the East coast, I ventured into trade shows and got a manufacturer to keep up. I now design everything, and have towels, slippers, printed fabric swaddles and bibs made overseas. My towels are BIG, they fit up to age 8 (and I even have some teen/adult size) and are soft and absorbent and come in 20 different designs. I am a one woman show, so I do everything here at Yikes Twins from sales and design to social media, filling orders and unloading 20' trailers when my stock arrives! I love my job and the fact it has allowed me to stay home with my kids. The twins just graduated from High School this year, and looking back I never dreamed I'd have my own successful business, selling to over 500 stores all over the world. I still love doing art/craft shows to connect with my customers and get feedback from return customers.
