The following are notes from the Eventeny Webinar Series and the full recording can be found below. -SEO are organic search results. -Local SEO is when results are location-based. -Examples: local pack, on map, or on a knowledge panel. -SEO is impacted by: -On-page: URL, Title Tags, Header Tags, Content Meta description & Internal Links -Off-page: Links from external site to your site. -Site Architecture/Technical SEO: navigation path of site, redirects, broken links, time on site, mobile responsiveness, schema-encoded name, address, phone number (NAP) -Local SEO is how you can get free rankings for local related terms. Local search is impacted by: -Category, citations, city/state/zip in url, schema tags, title tag, H1 tag, backlinks, content, reviews (number of reviews), rating, social signals (facebook likes & twitter followers), mobile signals (click-to-call, check ins, ctr), personalization -NAP matters for local search -Create a Google Business (it’s free). It provides: -Report metrics for your location (brick and mortar) -Includes number of phone calls, driving directions, website clicks -You will be required to verify the location in some cases -Name should be what’s on your storefront -Measuring Key Performance Indicator (KPI) -clicks/visits/impressions, cost/spend/revenue, net income, cost per click (CPC), cost per conversion/lead/sale, time on site, bounce rate, and more (check out the webinar recording) -Create Google Analytics and Search Console Accounts (it’s free) -Google Analytics: tracks site traffic -Google Search Console: provides technical SEO data and more site data. -Will also tell you if your site is hacked or contains malware -Site Architecture -Home page has the most authority -Page one level under homepage will have slightly less authority than home page -Page two level below home page will have further less authority -HTTP Status Codes and when they occur: -200 (OK) -301 (Permanent Redirect) -302 (Temporary Redirect) -304 (Cached Redirect) -404 (Page Not Found) -503 (Service Unavailable/Maintenance) -Soft 404 -Off-Page SEO/Content Marketing -Off-Page SEO links from external sites to your pages -Do not request links backs or reciprocal links from other for benefit of SEO -Links should be requested if content is supplementary on other sites
