While there's currently no way to make an event itself private, you can make individual components like applications, tickets, and maps private—meaning only those with the direct link will be able to access them. That said, the best way to keep an entire event page private is to leave the event in draft mode. When it’s in draft, it won’t be visible to the public, but you can still share the direct link with the people you want to have access. This way, only those with the link will be able to view it.
