About
Our 501(c)(3) organization is proud to support the future of our community by collecting donations to fund educational scholarships for Mexican American students in Morgan County who are in need of financial assistance.
Eligible students must be currently enrolled in a Decatur City Schools high school or actively enrolled in an accredited college or university. Scholarship recipients are carefully selected through a process that includes nominations, essay submissions, and final review by our Board of Directors.
Every donation—no matter the size—helps open doors and create opportunities for deserving students. Any amount makes a difference.
About the event
Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in downtown Decatur with a fun-filled street party on 2nd Avenue! Enjoy the crowd-favorite Chihuahua Dog Race, a vibrant low-rider car show, and live music throughout the evening.
Sip and savor taco and margarita specials from your favorite downtown spots, explore local vendors, and let the kids play in the Kid Zone.
It’s a lively celebration of culture, community, and unforgettable moments—right in the heart of Decatur!
