Goal: $10,000 for Chelan Pride Festival 2026
Building Community, One Step at a Time
Since its founding in 2022, Chelan Pride has grown from a hopeful vision into a cornerstone of North Central Washington's 2SLGBTQIA+ community. As we approach our 5th Annual Festival, we are reaching higher than ever before. Our goal of $10,000 will directly fund the evolution of this celebration, including a monumental milestone: Chelan’s first-ever Pride Parade.
The Cause: "No Permission Needed"
Our theme this year, "No Permission Needed," is a declaration of radical self-love and community strength. In a rural community, visibility isn't just a celebration, it’s a lifeline. We are moving beyond just "asking for a seat at the table"-- we are showing up, taking up space, and celebrating our existence in the heart of Lake Chelan. Your contribution helps us transform Riverwalk Park into a sanctuary of joy, resilience, and authentic connection.
Where the Funds Go:
The $10,000 goal is a critical baseline to ensure the festival remains free and accessible to all. Your donations support:
The Inaugural Pride Parade: Funding for permits, safety coordination, and infrastructure to launch this historic first march through the heart of Chelan.
Artist & Performer Fees: Ensuring we can host diverse live music, drag performances, and art showcases that represent the full spectrum of our community.
Festival Infrastructure: Essential costs for Riverwalk Park, including security, sanitation, bilingual signage, and rental fees.
Community Mutual Aid: A portion of funds help provide year-round resources and education for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals and their allies in the Lake Chelan valley.
How You Can Help
Every dollar brings us closer to a more inclusive future. Chelan Pride is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and every gift is an investment in human dignity. In a world that often asks us to dim our lights, your donation is a "YES" to living out loud.
"No Permission Needed" isn't just our theme; it's our commitment. By helping us reach $10,000, you are helping us march toward a future where everyone belongs, exactly as they are.
The Annual Chelan Pride Festival is about visibility and the collective strength of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Since 2022, we have gathered at Riverwalk Park to honor our history and claim our space in the Lake Chelan valley. This festival is where we show up for one another, proving that we belong in this town just as much as anyone else.
It is a day of live music, local art, and food, but the real focus is the people. We come together to connect with neighbors, support local makers, and find solidarity in a place that hasn't always been inclusive.
Whether you’ve been here since day one or are joining us for the first time, your presence is part of the progress we’re making.
We’ll see you at the park to celebrate our community and keep the movement going.
