As you may know, Woonsocket is missing a true Puerto Rican bakery. Our dream is to change that—by creating a welcoming, inclusive space where traditional sweets are crafted with love and authenticity.
This festival is more than a celebration—it’s a stepping stone. Every contribution and every moment shared here moves us closer to opening a bakery that honors our heritage. A place where families gather, culture is celebrated, and desserts tell stories of tradition.
About the event
We are proud to announce the Puerto Rican Festival in Woonsocket, a vibrant cultural celebration set to take place [August 29, 2026] at [Veteran’s Memorial Park, Woonsocket, RI]. This landmark event will bring together families, community leaders, local businesses, and visitors from across Rhode Island and beyond for a day filled with music, dance, authentic cuisine, and cultural pride.Our ultimate goal is to open a bakery in Woonsocket called “All Things Tropical”. Our mission is to redefine the bakery experience in Woonsocket by bringing traditional Puerto Rican Sweets and Desserts. Therefore, the proceeds and contributions from this festival will be directed exclusively toward making this bakery a reality
