About
ECPS is supporting Milwaukee Doyo Kai Japanese Saturday School this year! In Japanese “Doyo Kai” means Saturday School or Saturday Club. Doyo Kai was organized in the Milwaukee area to teach children Japanese language and culture through the joint efforts of parents and teachers. Using a cooperative approach we are able to offer art, music, calligraphy, Japanese language and Japanese literature programs. Their organization is run 100% by parental volunteers. Your generous donations help cover operating costs and materials needed to enhance the classroom activities.
About the event
🌟 Attend ECPS' Annual Charity Ball, Friday March 8th from 6-9pm during Anime Milwaukee in the Empire Ballroom of the Hilton Milwaukee City Center. Our chosen charity this year is Milwaukee Doyo Kai, a Japanese Immersion Saturday School that has been providing cultural education to students of all backgrounds since 2017. There will be lots of dancing, music, and a bar open to attendees ages 21 and up. New this year is a silent auction, come and bid on your favorite items donated from your favorite voice actors as well as some of Anime Milwaukee's Vendors! The event is open to ages 18 and above, and requires a $10 donation to enter. Formal attire is required, cosplay is welcomed! To learn more about Milwaukee Doyo Kai, please visit their website: https://milwaukeedoyokaien.wordpress.com/ This is a formal ballroom event. Appropriate attire will be knee-length or longer and may include formal cosplay costume, prom dress, gown, suit, tuxedo, dress shirt and tie, Lolita (EGL/EGA), Oji Lolita, formal renaissance garb, kilts (with appropriate additional attire), kimono and cheongsam, dress uniform, cocktail dress, or formal separates. Accessories, hats, and small props that complement your ensemble are permitted.
