About
Dallas Pride is bringing the party back to Oak Lawn! With the recent legislation that has passed here in Texas, Dallas Pride along with many organizations are unsure how this is going to affect our ability to host events publicly. We know the community and our allies will fight it in the courts, so we hope for the best but we must prepare for the worse. So we are throwing what may be the last hurrah for these kinds of Parties on August 26th. We will be hosting some of our local drag talent which is one of the big things we fear may not happen like this come September 1st.
Events like these are EXTREMELY expensive to produce in the City of Dallas. Over the last 10 years the Dallas Office of Special Events has added many new requirements that cost a great deal of money. The necessity and cost of providing more security is a large part of those costs. We are depending on both sponsors and the community to fund this event to give you the party you deserve. Dallas Pride is a 501c3 registered Non-Profit with both the State of Texas and the IRS so your donation may be tax deductible up to the extent allowed by the law. (We aren't tax accountants so we can't give you any advice on that.)

About the event
Dallas Prides newest addition to our roster of events is a FREE EVENT, our first ever Dallas Pride Street Party on Cedar Springs Rd in the heart of the LGBTQ+ night life! With the new law going into effect September 1st this may be the last time events like this are able to be held on the street. So come party like it's August 26th because we don't know what the future holds! The event is FREE to attend. But we would be grateful if you would consider making a donation or sponsoring to help fund the event. Events such as these are extremely expensive to produce in the City of Dallas. Your donation allows us to cover the cost of the event and be able to fund both our beneificiaries and produce other new events throughout the year.
