Lighting in the Pirate Forest Garden improves safety, helping children see obstacles and play equipment. It also extends the playground’s usable hours during darker fall and winter months, making after‑school play and community events possible. Good lighting increases security, improves supervision, and helps families feel comfortable during evening programs.
In the Outdoor Classroom, lighting and fans create a better learning environment by improving focus, reducing eye strain, and keeping the space comfortable during warm months. Adequate lighting also allows educators to hold early‑morning or late‑afternoon lessons without being limited by daylight. Together, lights and fans make both spaces safer, more accessible, and usable year‑round. Estimates for a portion of this project have ranged between 5-8k.
