Eventeny's marketplace refund & return policy 

Our marketplace is committed to ensuring a fair, secure, and positive experience for both buyers and sellers. This Refund and Return Policy helps facilitate transactions that are fair and satisfactory for all parties involved.

Definitions:

  • Item: Any product listed by a seller that can be purchased by a buyer on the marketplace.
  • Returnable Items: Products are eligible for return according to the seller’s individual policy.
  • Non-returnable Items: Generally includes, but is not limited to, custom or personalized orders, perishable products, digital downloads, and items not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons. Sellers have the discretion to specify their own exceptions in their individual return policies, which may override these general guidelines where applicable.
  • Proof of Shipping: Documentation or tracking information provided by a shipping carrier that confirms an item has been shipped to the seller, including shipping date and tracking number.
  • Original Condition: The state or condition of an item exactly as it was received by the buyer, including all packaging, labels, tags, and accessories.
  • Misrepresented Item: An item that is inaccurately described in its marketplace listing, including discrepancies in specifications, condition, functionality, or origin.
  • Restocking Fee: A fee charged by some sellers to cover the cost of processing a return and restocking the item, applicable under certain conditions specified in the seller's return policy.
  • Account Suspension: A restriction placed on a user’s account due to violations of marketplace policies or terms of service.
  • Mediation/Arbitration: Alternative dispute resolution processes involving a neutral third party to help resolve disputes outside of court.
  • Statutory Rights: Rights provided under consumer protection laws that govern the sale of goods and services, overriding any conflicting marketplace policies.
  • Buyer: An individual or entity that purchases items on the Eventeny marketplace.
  • Seller: An individual or entity that offers items for sale on the Eventeny marketplace.


For Buyers

General Returns

  • If the seller has a return policy, buyers may request returns within 14 days from the receipt date, unless a different period is specified by the seller.
  • Returns must be initiated through direct communication with the seller via the Eventeny messaging system.
  • The item must be returned in its original condition and packaging.
  • Buyers are responsible for covering return shipping costs, unless the item arrived damaged or was misrepresented by the seller, in which case the seller covers return shipping.

Responsibilities

  • Buyers must provide proof of shipping and delivery when returning an item to ensure the return process is completed successfully.
  • Maintain the item in its required condition for return as stated in the seller's policy.

Refunds

  • Refunds are processed upon the seller’s receipt and inspection of the return.
  • Refund payments will be credited to the buyer's original payment method within 5–10 business days after the seller approves the return.


For Sellers

Sellers Return Policy

  • Sellers are required to clearly state their specific return policies on their shop pages, including details on restocking fees, non-returnable items, and conditions for returns.
  • Failure to comply with these disclosure requirements can result in penalties such as account suspension or removal from the marketplace.

Legal Framework

  • Governing Law: This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America.
  • Consumer Protection: All provisions of this policy are designed to complement and not supersede statutory consumer rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

Dispute Resolution 

Disputes should first be addressed through our platform's resolution center at Support@Eventeny.com. If unresolved, mediation or arbitration may be pursued as detailed in our full dispute resolution procedure, available upon request.

Amendments 

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Notice of significant changes will be provided via the platform to all active users.

Additional Provisions 

  • Exchanges and Store Credit: Sellers may offer exchanges or store credit in lieu of a refund at their discretion.

  • Restocking Fees: Clearly outlined in the seller’s return policy, if applicable.

  • Fraud Protection: The platform employs measures to detect and prevent fraudulent returns and protect sellers from return abuse.
