Origins of a FanCon Legacy
GalaxyCon traces its roots to Mike Broder, who started out running wrestling events across Florida before expanding into the broader convention space. Like many event producers Mike and his team saw early their success interrupted in 2020. They took the time to strategize, then relaunched in 2021 under the GalaxyCon name in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Today, GalaxyCon is one of the most recognized fan convention brands in the country. Each event brings together pop culture enthusiasts for celebrity meet-and-greets, vendor marketplaces, cosplay, gaming, and more, with a guest lineup that spans celebrities, creators, and influencers.

The Challenge
GalaxyCon was hosting three regional shows when they first crossed paths with Eventeny in 2022. Their existing software partner wasn't built for the complexity of a scaling event, so workarounds multiplied. Tasks that should run automatically required hours of hands-on effort, pulling the leadership team away from what actually matters: building a great experience for fans. That's where Eventeny came in.
A platform designed for events with moving parts
Operational accuracy determines whether a convention is one people remember, so GalaxyCon needed a platform built for complex, multi-faceted events. Their goal was straightforward: get the operational side of their events under control so they could focus on growth.
GalaxyCon needed a platform that could centralize ticketing, vendor management, and volunteer coordination in one place. Most importantly, they needed a team behind it that would stay engaged before, during, and after event day.

Vendor operations built to scale
Before Eventeny, GalaxyCon's team was juggling applications, payments, floor assignments, and vendor communication across disconnected tools. This put a practical ceiling on how many vendors they could support.
Eventeny consolidated all of that into one workflow:
-
Applications, payments, and approvals are managed together, with built-in messaging that lets the team group message vendors by application status.
-
Approved vendors get added to interactive floor maps that give the GalaxyCon team a shared, real-time view of the floor plan. The result is a vendor operation that can grow without requiring proportionally more staff hours to run it.
Since 2022, GalaxyCon has seen a 409% increase in vendor participation and a 514% increase in vendor reach.
Focusing on the experience
The foundation of GalaxyCon's growth lies in seamless pre-show planning. With Eventeny, all those logistics get handled in once place and GalaxyCon has a reliable operational base to build from. Now they can direct their attention toward the things that make a convention worth attending.
Over the past four years Eventeny has grown alongside GalaxyCon. As their roster of celebrity guests expanded, Eventeny built a tool specifically designed to manage that side of the experience: Program Management.
-
Since 2022, that combination of operational efficiency and an evolving platform has contributed to a 311% increase in revenue and a 299% increase in ticket sales for GalaxyCon.

Audiences taking notice
With the operational side supported, GalaxyCon has been able to give more energy to the things that build a public profile: fan experience, marketing, and outreach.
-
Since joining Eventeny, GalaxyCon has seen a 189% increase in attendance and a 328% increase in press applications.
Eventeny's role in their visibility extends to search as well. Every event page on Eventeny is built to rank on Google and surface in local searches, making it easy for new attendees to find events in their area.
-
With a trio of earned media, attendee word-of-mouth, and Eventeny's SEO optimized webpages, GalaxyCon has seen a 408% increase in Google organic impressions last year alone.
Continued partnership and implementation
GalaxyCon has expanded from three regional shows to 18 events a year, and the work that made that possible is ongoing. Eventeny continues to grow alongside them, adding features, responding to new needs, and staying closely involved as the operation scales. For GalaxyCon, that means a consistent operational foundation that lets the team keep doing what they do best: building experiences that fans travel for.
