Welcome to The Walking Dead Sonora Zombie Walk & Halloween Festival, read through the application and let me know if you have any questions.
This is an electronic agreement and by selecting the booth(s), you are validating, approving, and agreeing to this agreement electronically.
Vendors may apply in up to two categories in their application.
All work displayed in the booth must be original and available for sale.
Jewelry Policy:
Jewelry may only be sold by artists accepted into the Jewelry category, if you display jewelry at the event and were not approved to do so, you will be asked to remove the jewelry from your booth, failure to comply will result in your booth being closed.
If jewelry represents less than 10% of your work, you may apply in another category. If jewelry exceeds 10% of your total inventory, you MUST apply in the Jewelry category. Original jewelry only; commercial components or mass-produced parts are not permitted
Artisan Category Descriptions, you may apply for up to two per application:
Clay - Original clay and porcelain work, functional or sculptural.
Fiber - Wearable and non-wearable fiber art; no machine-tooled or mass-produced items will be allowed.
Glass - or sculptural work using kiln forming, blowing, molding, casting, or cold-working.
Jewelry - Original jewelry only; commercial components or mass-produced parts are not permitted.
Metal - Sculptural or decorative metal work (no jewelry).
Mixed Media - Artwork combining two or more mediums in a single piece.
Musical Instruments - Handmade musical instruments.
Natural Materials- Basket weaving, brooms, gourds, and other natural materials.
Photography - Traditional film, hand-colored, emulsion transfers, or digital; artist’s original source only.
Printmaking - Hand-pulled, limited-edition prints; signed and numbered.
Sewing - Wearable and non- wearable.
Two-Dimensional - Drawing, painting, and original digital artwork; no reproductions.
Wood - Original hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned, or carved wood pieces.
Booth space is 10x10 on asphalt, space may not be level, be prepared with leveling tools and or equipment. The space is outdoors, be prepared for sun, wind, etc. Vendor spaces are assigned by SPME.
Set up for the festival:
Saturday 10/17/26 11:00am to 12:45pm. All vehicles MUST be removed from set up area by 12:00pm.
Tear down for the festival:
Saturday 10/17/26 7pm-8pm. Vendor area MUST be cleared for through traffic with all vendor supplies and vehicles cleared from the vendor area no later than 8:15pm. Vendor is responsible for keeping their vendor space clean of debris and packaging. Vendor must leave their booth space in the same condition upon leaving market. There will be a minimum $200.00 fee charged for the following but not limited to trash left behind, damage to asphalt or sidewalks, asphalt clean up, or grass repair.
Terms & Conditions:
Sun Poppy Markets & Events (hereinafter referred to as “SPME”) and You and Your Company (hereinafter referred to as “Vendor”) mutually agree to the following:
Once the vendor application has been approved and accepted, the Application/Contract constitutes a legally binding agreement with SPME for the checked events only. Payment is due at the time of approval of the Artisan Application.
Vendor is responsible for obtaining all required licenses and permits, and for collecting and reporting all sales tax in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Vendor is responsible for supplying all booth items for themselves including but not limited to a pop-up tent or canopy, tables, chairs, table covers, lights, display items, etc.
Vendor agrees to abide by all published set up and tear down times and market hours. Early tear down is strictly prohibited and may result in vendor not being invited to future SPME markets.
Vendor must be in their booth and ready for guests at least 15 minutes before the market opens at 1pm; failure to do so may result in cancellation of vendor booth without refund.
No refunds or exchanges will be issued under any circumstances once this contract is signed by you the vendor and approved by SPME. All vendor booth sales for market events hosted by SPME are final. Once a vendor booth has been reserved and paid for (application submitted by vendor and approved by SPME) there will be no refunds issued under any circumstances, including cancellations by the vendor.
No Transfer Policy: Vendor booth reservations are non-transferable. This means once a booth has been purchased, it cannot be transferred to another party, vendor or event.
Facility Policies: All pertinent fire codes, laws, ordinances and regulations pertaining to health, fire prevention and public safety shall be strictly obeyed and enforced. No open flame of any kind is permitted in the festival area. All tent canopy's must be fire safe (material or sprayed with retardant).
Vendor Booth/Space: No vendor booth is to close prior to 7:00pm on Saturday 10/17/26. Vendors closing early may not be invited to future SPME vendor opportunities.
Vendor spaces are 10x10. Booth must be manned during the festival hours, contact SPME if you need a break.
Vendor may not display items outside of their assigned space, encroach upon or into their neighbor's space, or block a neighboring vendor space. Sandwich board types of signs must have prior written approval from SPME to use/display during the festival.
Amendment/Termination of Contract: SPME shall have full power to interpret and/or to amend any and all rules and regulations. Agreement may be terminated by SPME at any time when/if any of the conditions are breached by the vendor. Any payments made by the vendor prior to termination shall be retained by SPME. SPME reserves the right to resell said booth space.
Vendor Photos: Photos submitted will be used by SPME for advertising the market or event.
SPME reserves the right to adjust/change floor/event plans or reassign booth space at any time to accommodate the market's needs.
No exclusive product or category rights are guaranteed unless a request is submitted by you the vendor and approved in writing by SPME.
NOTE: SPECIAL REQUESTS MUST BE INCLUDED IN YOUR APPLICATION IN THE SPECIAL REQUEST SPACE PROVIDED.
Any and all illegal activity is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate removal of vendor and booth without refund.
Vendor may not distribute promotional materials outside their assigned space without written approval from SPME.
Vendor is responsible for providing their own power, no electricity is available at the festival. IF USING A GENERATOR ONLY LOW SOUND/NOISE GENERATORS WILL BE ALLOWED AS TO NOT DISTURB OTHER VENDORS, GUESTS OR BUSINESSES. IF YOU BRING A LOUD GENERATOR, BE PREPARED YOU MAY NOT BE ALLOWED TO USE IT.
Vendor must leave their booth space in the same condition upon leaving market as when arriving. There will be a minimum $200.00 fee charged for the following, but not limited to trash left behind, damage to asphalt or sidewalk, asphalt clean up, or grass repair.
If applicable, vendor is responsible for obtaining their Temporary Food Facility Permit with Tuolumne County and supplying a copy to Sun Poppy Markets & Events prior to the event. Link to apply.
Liability & Insurance:
Liability Insurance is not required but is encouraged. Vendor is responsible for their actions and liability inside and within six (6) feet of their booth.
SPME, Peitra Rice, Don't Call Me Mike Productions, and Michael Miller assume no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged property.
Vendor agrees to hold Sun Poppy Markets & Events, Peitra Rice, Don't Call Me Mike Productions, and Michael Miller harmless from all liability, including bodily injury, property damage, or any claim arising from Vendor’s participation.
Market Coordinator (SPME) Rights:
SPME reserves the right to refuse participation/application to any vendor, group, business, or organization.
SPME does not guarantee market attendance, weather, or vendor sales.
SPME may approve similar or competitive vendors/businesses at their discretion.
Set up will begin at 11:00am, all vendors must be set up and ready for guests by 12:45pm. Vehicles must be removed from the market/vendor area by 12:00pm. There is no electricity provided (see above for generator information), vendors are responsible for their own lighting.
The Market is from 1pm to 7pm.
All Vendors are expected to keep their booth open and manned from 1pm to 7pm. If a vendor should pack up early, they may not be invited to attend future markets or events with Sun Poppy Markets & Events.
Vendors must be packed up with their booth area clear of all items and debris by 8:15pm.
