Enjoy delicious coffee and family-friendly activities as you meet your neighbors, hear from special guest speakers, experience incredible music and dance performances from community groups, and shop locally from refugee and immigrant business owners at our vendors market! Be sure to stick around for our huge group photo at the end to show just how much #GALovesRefugees! Without the refugee resettlement program, these individuals we are lucky to have as neighbors—who enrich our communities and contribute to our state—would not be here. While we celebrate those who have been able to rebuild their lives here in Georgia, we must not forget the families who have been turned away from America’s door in their time of need. Be sure to turn out on June 24 for opportunities to advocate for the refugee program and get more involved with our work. Now, more than ever, it’s important to celebrate the incredible strength and resilience of the refugee community, and to recognize the invaluable contributions that they bring to our state.
