Wonder Lab Wednesdays - Inside Insects

This summer, Downtown Duluth comes alive with hands-on learning! From May 28 to July 30, we’re partnering with top Atlanta-area museums and science centers to bring exciting, educational STEM experiences to Parsons Alley. Designed especially for kids ages 5–11 , each Wednesday features a new activity that sparks curiosity and encourages discovery through science, technology, engineering, and math. Sessions at 10:30am and 11:30am. Registration is required. July 23, 2025 - Inside Insects with Science Creations This hands-on workshop introduces kids to the fascinating world of insects! Each child gets a plastic insect model to learn about insect anatomy, then observes real insect specimens up close. They'll also play a fun movement game to act out body parts, then wrap up by drawing and building their own insect to take home as a keepsake. Suggested for ages 5-8. Parents must accompany children during this activity. Cost is $5/child With registration, each participant will receive a gift certificate redeemable at Downtown Duluth businesses. Value $5.
