These Forklift workshops assist employers’ operators or in-house trainers in satisfying the federal and/or state training, testing and evaluation requirements for operating forklifts.
Our Forklift safety program covers laws and standards related to forklift operation, daily forklift and area inspection, stability, key components, load engagement, stacking and tiering, refueling/recharging, traveling, understanding load rating charts, signaling, dealing with jobsite and electrical hazards.
Courses Include:
Student workbook
Classroom instruction
Comprehensive written examination
Fundamental Practical operating evaluation
ID Card upon successful completion
Copies of documentation for record retention
Please note: We are not a driving school. The student will need to understand how to operate the equipment before attending our courses.
Registration is required. Classes fill up quickly and we cannot always accommodate walk in students.
As a key company employee you attend the course as an in-house Trainer who would be assisting with your internal employee training program. Receiving our professional Trainer Kit and Materials upon attendance, you would attend the entire course following in your Trainer Binder (which includes “how to be an effective trainer”) as our professional instructor walks you through the workshop curriculum and knowledge checks. Learn how to provide the fundamental practical evaluations on the applicable equipment as well as the procedure for the required documentation and record retention. Upon completion of the program, you as an in-house trainer would then use our Trainer Kit and Materials at your facility and utilize it as a component of your in-house operator training and evaluation program for your employees.
Train the Trainer Refresher: Even though Federal regulations may not require it (check your specific state regulations), we highly recommend your in-house trainers receive a trainer refresher every 36 months at our discounted rate. Upon completion of the program we will reissue their trainer credentials and certificate of completion, as well as provide our most current professional training materials including any Federal regulatory changes. You must possess a current OVERTON Safety Training Trainer or Instructor/Evaluator ID card for the same program to qualify for the discounted refresher rate.
Our Train the Trainer programs and materials are solely for the employer’s internal training of their employees. Use by individuals or companies for commercial fee based training is prohibited.
