About the event
We gather for bridal showers. We celebrate new babies. We throw graduation parties and send people into their next chapter surrounded by gifts, encouragement, and the people who believe in them.
But one of the biggest—and bravest—milestones in a person’s life often happens without a shower at all:
Taking the leap and starting a business.
Building something from the ground up requires far more than a good idea. It takes courage, sacrifice, sleepless nights, financial risk, and an extraordinary amount of faith—especially in today’s economy. Too often, entrepreneurs quietly reach that sink-or-swim moment without ever saying what they need.
And we keep asking ourselves: Why aren’t we surrounding them with the same excitement, encouragement, and intentional support we bring to every other meaningful new beginning?
That question became the heart behind The Business Shower Collective —because building a dream deserves celebrating, too.
OUR FIRST BUSINESS SHOWER
The Parlour Collective will be the very first Business Shower: an opportunity to build something meaningful together while creating a model that can eventually be used to support other local entrepreneurs taking their own leap.
The Parlour Collective is being created from the ground up as a place to gather, celebrate, connect, and experience something beautifully unexpected. It will be home to curated workshops, markets, brunches, weddings, live entertainment, community gatherings, and opportunities for other small businesses to be seen and supported.
We are not simply filling a building. We are thoughtfully creating a space that can help other people and businesses thrive—and we are genuinely starting with an empty canvas.
BECOME A FOUNDING FRIEND
Founding Friends are the individuals, families, and community members who believe in what The Parlour Collective can become.
You may contribute any amount—whether it is $5, $10, $25, or something more. No amount is too small, and no promotional benefit is expected in return. Founding Friends may choose to have their names included on our Founding Friends Honor Roll or remain anonymous.
Support does not have to be monetary. Sometimes it looks like a bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolates, a handwritten hype note, an encouraging message, a shared post, or a thoughtful item chosen from our Business Shower Wish List.
Every expression of support becomes part of the beginning.
BECOME A FOUNDING SPONSOR
Founding Sponsorships are designed for businesses and organizations that want to help bring this vision to life while receiving meaningful promotional benefits throughout The Parlour Collective’s opening year.
Depending upon sponsorship level, benefits may include business recognition through our opt-in newsletter, social-media campaigns, printed materials, event signage, sponsor spotlights, website placement, and selected Collective events.
We want our community to know which businesses genuinely came to bat for another small business—and we hope that when people see those names, they will remember them, share their work, and choose to support them, too.
The businesses supporting small businesses deserve a community that supports them in return.
HELP US BUILD THE COLLECTIVE
Every contribution will help purchase practical equipment and thoughtful details that allow The Parlour Collective to serve its guests, participating businesses, and community well.
One of our priorities is making participation easier for our farmers-market vendors. We plan to invest in vendor tents, folding tables, coordinated tablecloths, chairs, signage, and utility wagons to help vendors unload and reload. These resources mean fewer expenses, fewer logistical barriers, and less equipment for small-business owners to transport every time they participate.
Support will also help us acquire the supplies and equipment needed to create beautiful weddings, engaging workshops, curated markets, community gatherings, and memorable guest experiences.
These are more than purchases. They are the literal and figurative building blocks of the space.
BUILDING THE PARLOUR COLLECTIVE—ONE GIFT AT A TIME
As packages, gifts, supplies, and sponsored items arrive, we will share parts of the journey through social-media unboxings and Founding Friend and Sponsor spotlights.
We want supporters to see what they helped provide, understand why each item matters, and witness how their contribution becomes part of the finished space. With permission, we will publicly thank and recognize the individuals and businesses who helped us build.
Every tent unfolded at a market, every chair offered to a guest, every wagon used by a vendor, every table styled for a celebration, and every thoughtful detail inside the venue will carry a story.
THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING
Our hope is that The Business Shower Collective grows far beyond The Parlour Collective.
Once this first Business Shower establishes the model, we want to offer the same opportunity to other local entrepreneurs—helping them identify practical startup needs, create meaningful wish lists, connect with sponsors, receive community encouragement, and celebrate the courage it takes to begin.
A Business Shower will celebrate a new business preparing to launch. A Business Sprinkle will support an established business expanding, relocating, rebranding, or entering an exciting new chapter.
Because nobody building something meaningful should have to wonder whether they are going to sink or swim alone.
Whether you contribute a few dollars, send an encouraging note, purchase something from the wish list, become a Founding Sponsor, share this campaign, or simply speak our name in a room we have not yet entered—you are helping build The Parlour Collective.
One thoughtful gift.
One Founding Friend.
One Founding Sponsor.
One building block at a time.
The Business Shower Collective
Because building a dream deserves celebrating, too.

Terms & Conditions
THE PARLOUR COLLECTIVE BUSINESS SHOWER
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By making a contribution, purchasing a sponsorship, or providing an in-kind gift through The Parlour Collective Business Shower, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:
1. NATURE OF THE CAMPAIGN
The Parlour Collective Business Shower is a community-supported campaign benefiting The Parlor Collective LLC, a privately owned, for-profit business.
Payments made through this campaign are not charitable contributions and are not tax-deductible as charitable donations. Contributors and sponsors should consult their own tax professionals regarding whether any payment may qualify as a business or advertising expense.
2. FOUNDING FRIEND CONTRIBUTIONS
Founding Friend contributions are voluntary gifts of support made without the expectation of repayment, financial return, ownership, equity, profit-sharing, voting rights, or other interest in The Parlor Collective LLC.
Contributing does not create an employment, partnership, joint-venture, membership, agency, lending, or investment relationship with The Parlor Collective LLC.
3. FOUNDING SPONSORSHIPS
Founding Sponsorships include only the promotional benefits specifically described within the selected sponsorship level. Benefits may include recognition through newsletters, social media, printed materials, event signage, website placement, sponsor spotlights, or designated events.
Sponsorships do not provide ownership, equity, repayment rights, revenue sharing, decision-making authority, guaranteed vendor placement, or VIP Vetted Vendor status.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, sponsorship benefits apply during The Parlour Collective’s 2027 Opening Year. Dates, events, formats, placements, and promotional schedules may change as programming develops.
The Parlour Collective does not guarantee any specific number of views, impressions, customers, referrals, sales, or financial results from sponsorship recognition.
If a listed benefit becomes unavailable, The Parlour Collective may provide a reasonably comparable promotional benefit. Material concerns will be handled directly and in good faith.
4. BUSINESS NAMES, LOGOS, AND PROMOTIONAL MATERIALS
Sponsors are responsible for submitting accurate business names, logos, website links, and other requested materials by stated deadlines.
By submitting promotional materials, the sponsor confirms that it has permission to use them and grants The Parlour Collective permission to reproduce them solely for fulfilling sponsorship benefits and recognizing campaign support.
The Parlour Collective may decline or discontinue sponsorship content that is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, hateful, unsafe, or inconsistent with the inclusive, community-centered values of the business. When appropriate, declined paid sponsorships will be refunded.
5. USE OF FUNDS AND GIFTS
Funds and gifts may be used for startup and operating needs related to The Parlour Collective, including but not limited to venue equipment, furnishings, vendor tents, tables, chairs, linens, signage, utility wagons, wedding and event supplies, workshop materials, technology, storage, marketing, programming, professional services, fees, and other reasonable business expenses.
References to particular items or goals represent current plans and priorities. Unless expressly stated otherwise, contributions are not restricted to one specific purchase and may be redirected to another legitimate business need as plans, pricing, availability, or circumstances change.
Reaching the stated fundraising goal is not guaranteed. Funds received may be used whether or not the full goal is reached.
6. IN-KIND GIFTS
The Parlour Collective may accept products, equipment, supplies, or professional services as in-kind support.
Any sponsorship credit assigned to an in-kind contribution must be agreed upon in writing before the gift or service is provided. The contributor is responsible for determining the value and tax treatment of any in-kind contribution.
Unrequested items may be declined when they cannot be safely, legally, or practically used.
7. PUBLIC RECOGNITION AND PRIVACY
Founding Friends may choose to be publicly recognized or remain anonymous. The Parlour Collective will request permission before publicly naming or tagging an individual contributor.
Sponsors understand that business names and approved promotional materials may be publicly displayed as part of their selected benefits.
Personal contact information will not be sold or provided to sponsors for independent marketing. Payment and account information may be processed according to Eventeny’s separate terms and privacy policies.
8. SOCIAL-MEDIA CONTENT
With permission, The Parlour Collective may photograph, record, unbox, acknowledge, or discuss contributed items and sponsorships through social media, newsletters, websites, or other campaign updates.
Public recognition is intended as appreciation and storytelling. Exact posting dates, formats, platforms, and audience reach are not guaranteed unless expressly included in a written sponsorship agreement.
9. PAYMENTS, FEES, AND REFUNDS
Founding Friend contributions, sponsorship payments, and monetary gifts are generally final and nonrefundable once processed, except where required by law or specifically stated otherwise.
Eventeny or its payment processor may charge transaction or processing fees according to the options shown at checkout. Those fees are governed by the platform’s separate terms.
If The Parlour Collective declines a paid sponsorship or is unable to provide a reasonable substitute for a material sponsorship benefit, the parties will work in good faith toward an appropriate resolution.
10. CHANGES, DELAYS, AND CAMPAIGN UPDATES
The Parlour Collective is an evolving startup. Opening timelines, programming, events, equipment needs, vendor opportunities, and promotional plans may change due to construction, licensing, availability, costs, weather, staffing, or other circumstances.
Campaign descriptions, sponsorship availability, and benefits may be updated when necessary. A sponsor’s confirmed written benefits will not be materially reduced without communication and a good-faith effort to provide comparable value.
11. NO GUARANTEE OF BUSINESS OUTCOME
Support of this campaign does not guarantee that The Parlour Collective will open or operate on a particular date, offer any particular event or service, or achieve any specific financial or operational result.
Contributors and sponsors acknowledge the ordinary risks, changes, and uncertainties involved in launching and operating a new business.
12. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By completing a contribution or sponsorship payment, the participant confirms that they have reviewed and accepted these Terms and Conditions and understand the nature of the Business Shower campaign.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
