Why We Started Black Business Network of Long Island Our President & Founder, Godson Michel, recognized that Black entrepreneurs across Long Island face distinct systemic barriers—from limited access to growth capital to fewer mainstream marketing opportunities. We created the Black Business Network of Long Island to bridge that gap. By providing targeted resources, high-visibility platforms, and a strong professional community, we are working to level the playing field and drive sustainable economic growth for local Black-owned businesses.
