About the event

Downtown Revitalization Project in collaboration with the Gallia Co. Chamber of Commerce presents The 4th of July River Rec Market. Shop artisan vendors throughout the city park and enjoy delicious food trucks from 3-9pm. Kids corner activities by the Lions Club start at 3pm. Rotary Mile and Parade at 6pm. Fireworks at 10 pm.

4th of July Fireworks!

The best fireworks display along the Ohio River brought to you by the Gallia County Chamber of Commerce. 

Get a front row view from 1st Ave at 10pm. 

Fireworks will be set off from the River Front. Please stay behind the safety fences.

4th of July Parade

Enjoy  the 4th of July Parade as it rolls down 2nd Ave., through beautiful downtown Gallipolis. This hometown tradition starts at 6pm. Register to be part of the parade with the Gallia Co. Chamber of Commerce.

Cheer on the runners before the parade! The long tradition of the Rotary Mile takes off at 5:30pm.

Light Up The River - Boats In Lights Contest

Decorated boats will help light up the river before the fireworks in a contest for best boat lights. Brought to you by Gallipolis-In-Lights.

Kids Corner Inflatables

Bring the kids to enjoy inflatable fun courtesy of Holzer Health Systems.

Turtle and Frog Races

A favorite for all ages, the turtle and frog races return to River Rec courtesy of the Lion's Club.

Kid's Train Rides

Kid's can enjoy train rides through the city park. The train has been restored courtesy of CSG Customs & Collisions.

Holzer Senior Bingo

Come down to the River Rec Festival and join Amy from Holzer Senior Care Center for an afternoon of fun and games dedicated to our community senior citizens!

Welcome to The 4th of July River Rec Market food vendor signup. Food vendors that have signed up for July 3rd First Friday are allowed to stay for the 4th at no additional charge. Fill out the application to confirm you are staying in your First Friday spot for this event. Please confirm your 4th of July River Rec Market spot by June 15th. Spots not confimed by June 15th will be made available to other food vendors to signup for The 4th of July event.

If you do not have a July First Friday Food Vendor spot, you may still fill out the application for The 4th of July River Rec Market to be added to the waitlist.
