About the event

Come celebrate Yule in Drekheim, where the old traditions meet the magic of the holiday season. Step into our Viking village and enjoy festive decorations, family-friendly fun, and a unique blend of ancient Norse customs and modern holiday cheer. Includes holiday shopping with unique vendors, themed mead, games, axe throwing, quests, a medieval arcade, and a fight pit. Join us Saturday evening for the Night Processional, then return Sunday for our Competitions and watch as warriors put their skills to the test.

Parking is onsite and free. Make sure to drive through to the back parking lot. Do not park in the front camping field.

Health & safety

This is an outdoor event so plan accordingly for weather. We do have mostly flat grounds and some gravel road. Wheelchairs seem to do fine on it.

Demonstrator Application-Yule

This is an application for a space in the venue grounds to do demonstrations using no more than 2 tents or equal space. The main focus of this space should be to educate the patrons. This is not an application for a vendor who sells products but demonstrates how they make their product. If you have more than two tents for your area then fill out the Encampment Application. The second tent must be period for sleeping in. Make sure to indicate that in the description below.

Yule is a holiday themed event so festive decorations and lighting are encouraged.

This is an application for a space in the venue grounds with a period encampment. All equipment should have a historical look and tents have a canvas appearance from 20 feet away. Modern supplies should be hidden. Otherwise your camp should be in the modern camping area. An encampment must have 2 or more tents. If you are a single tent contact us directly so you can be included in our Staff Encampment. If you are Demonstrating then fill out that application.

Camps should be adding to the event and interacting with the public in some way. Each member of the encampment must have a job adding to the festival. We do not hand out passes for just setting up a period tent. If you have extra people with no camp job they are welcome to apply as a volunteer to get complementary passes but still stay in your encampment.

Camps with a gate MUST have a welcome or open sign so patrons know they can enter your space.
