About the event

Tekko is Pennsylvania's largest anime convention, attracting nearly 12,000 unique and diverse fans from across the country (and world!) to the region. We aren't just any old anime convention, though. We offer so much more by featuring Japanese arcade games, J-rock, J-fashion, Japanese pop culture, and education in our programming. Additionally, we choose a unique theme every year to explore new content, such as wrestling, mecha, sports, and more. This makes us one of the most diverse anime and Japanese culture conventions in the country, and we aren't done expanding yet! Tekko is presented by a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the Pittsburgh Japanese Culture Society (PittJCS) . We've been bringing fans together for almost 20 years at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Proof of vaccination or negative PCR test will not be required for entry into Tekko 2023. We will not require masks in most of the convention center; please see the exceptions below.
