Studio 2 Art Recess at Kentuck 2026

Spend your Friday lunch break letting your creative juices flow with Kentuck. These art recess's will be an opportunity to learn something new about a process you have never tried, or to maybe deepen your understanding of a practice you already enjoy. They are meant to be a quick glance and an opportunity to have some fun. Feel free to bring your lunch. June 26- Color Mixing with Acrlic paints July 10-Papermaking July 17-Perspective drawing This class is limited to participants 18 & up. This class will be held on Fridays from 12-12:45 PM. WALK INS WELCOME!! This class will be located in Studio 2 which is located behind Rusty the big red dog on our campus. Look for the blue double doors in the Courtyard of Wonders! About Molly: Molly Nelko is a native of Mobile, Alabama. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Springhill College where she received a BA in fine art with a focus on oil painting and printmaking. Her work has been in individual exhibitions from Portland, Oregon to Hilton Head South Carolina. She currently lives in Coker, AL with her husband, three children, and cat Quill. Molly loves creating with her children and is passionate about sharing her over 20 years of experience in the arts. She also works in her studio regularly, and her work can be found online. She has proficiency in many different forms of art, and some of her favorites are printmaking, tessellations, and ink wash.This workshop is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Arts and Alabama State Council on the Arts.
