Mike Klein, an Independent candidate for Florida’s 3rd Congressional District, combat veteran, and graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, will deliver a “Strength Through Peace” foreign policy address that will speak to America’s role in an increasingly unstable world and the principles that should guide the nation’s foreign policy.
The address will focus on Mike’s belief that America’s greatness lies not only in its military capabilities, but in its character. For Mike, strength through peace means exercising American leadership with wisdom, honoring commitments, leading with integrity, and recognizing that every decision involving war carries a profound human cost. As the world’s leading nation, America must set an example for future generations and earn the respect of allies through its actions.
Mike will also discuss the growing influence of money in politics and the widening gap between elected officials and the people they represent. He argues that nowhere is accountability more important than in matters of war and peace, where the consequences are borne by American families and the sons and daughters who serve.
After Mike speaks, the remainder of the evening will be devoted to one-on-one conversations with audience members. Join your neighbors for an evening of straight talk about diplomacy, a foreign policy that serves the American people, and what it really means to support our troops and veterans.
The American Legion kitchen will be open, and non-alcoholic drinks and food will be available for purchase. American Legion Post 57 members can purchase alcoholic beverages at the bar.
