Responsibilities include:
Welcome and assist museum visitors with a friendly, professional attitude.
Serve as a visitor guide by sharing information about Taylor's history, attractions, restaurants, shopping, and community events.
Assist visitors with museum technology, including interactive exhibits, digital displays, audio/video equipment, and other visitor-facing technology as needed.
Monitor exhibit areas to ensure they remain clean, organized, and visitor-ready.
Alert museum staff promptly of any building maintenance issues, safety concerns, technology malfunctions, or exhibit problems.
Answer general questions or direct visitors to the appropriate staff member when additional assistance is needed.
Help create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for all museum guests.
Docents play an important role in preserving Taylor's history while providing exceptional customer service and promoting the community to residents and visitors alike.
