Smither Park Sunday featuring TBA

Thank you for your interest in being a vendor at Smither Park Sundays!

The Orange Show Center for Visionary Art presents Smither Park Sundays on the second Sunday of each month from 2 - 5 p.m. Smither Park is at 2441 Munger Street, Houston, TX 77023, conveniently off the Gulf Freeway.

Smither Park Sundays feature an array of live music, crafting activities for kids and adults, and an opportunity to connect with community within one of Houston’s most artistic green spaces. We invite local artisan vendors who sell handmade arts and crafts at an affordable price point. Please consider these guidelines before submitting your application:

Items must be locally handmade

Vendors re-selling items sourced online or via wholesale companies will not be accepted (curated selections of unique vintage objects and apparel, hard-to-find records, etc., are welcome, however.)

Self-trained artists and those who use found objects in their work are particularly encouraged to apply.

Any food items must adhere to the Texas Cottage Food Production Regulations, food vendors must carry insurance and bring their certificate

Vendors must being all of their own equipment, including tables, chairs, signage, and point of sale systems. Pop-up tents with weights are okay (no stakes please).

Space is available under the cover of Smither Park’s Vinson & Elkins Pavilion and in the adjacent grassy areas on a first come, first served basis.

Power available on a first come, first served basis.

There is no WiFi signal in the park.

Vendors may arrive as early as 1 pm, and must stay for the duration of the event. Vendor parking convenient to the pavilion is available behind 2334 Gulf Terminal Drive. Vendors are encouraged to promote Smither Park Sundays on their social media. Likewise, give us your IG handle when applying and we will include in our own social media postings.

The rain site for this event is the Orange Show World HQ, the adjacent covered pavilion at 2334 Gulf Terminal Drive. In the case of severe weather, we’ll cancel the event and communicate with all registrants at least 24 hours in advance.
